Im crossing the Hennepin bridge this is the first of many natural spaces that face along the river. Before you head to Nicollet island you can see the shoreline and witness the power structure and St Anthony falls down the way

This is a great spot along the river trails and parks in Minneapolis to relax during a lunch break and soak in some sun. They have many little bench rest spots that look out to the river, with views of many bridges interesting sights across the river. If your a photographer or even if not and you want a get some great architecture photos or a great shot of the old historic Grain Belt Beer billboard. This is the spot to shoot from. With all of the interconnecting trails & paths this is a very busy Biking and Jogging area that allows for bridge crossing on the 1st st bridge. Also this is located directly behind the old Historic Post Office, so just another reason to stop through here when you have to make your postal run. The point of this park is to just relax and take in the scenery.
