You know how you’re not supposed to eat things out of the back of a truck? Well, technically I didn’t EAT anything out of the back of a truck, but I did drink a big ol’ iced coffee from the back of a truck on Sunday. The Go Green Beans truck, to be exact. The back part of this well-appointed truck flips open to reveal a barista counter and a chalk menu. From this resourceful green vehicle, you can order cold press, espresso, mocha, chai and lattes. They use Peace Coffee, so you can be sure their roasts are fair trade and benefit the local economy too! I’m not the type of coffee drinker that orders the same way every time – sometimes I like it black, other times I’ll put plenty of cream and sugar or honey. The gentleman that served me today recommended that I sweeten the coffee with maple syrup, a trick he said he used to pull at the Seward Café. Duly noted and delicious. The only thing I’d like to see is accessibility. I couldn’t find an updated website or a Twitter handle to follow in order to find out where they are going to be!
