Greenway Liquors

I’ve been to this place a few times to buy some alcohol. This was only for convenience, and that I happened to be in the area at the time. This is not the best liquor place, but it’s not the worst. Only part of it is their fault.
The part that is not their fault is the parking lot. The lot is so small and compact that I get nervous driving in it, especially when it’s crowded. I’m always afraid that I am going to crash into somebody. It’s difficult driving in and around it. For the liquor store, there are only three reserved parking spots for their customers. That’s not enough. Therefore, if I ever have to go to this store, I prefer to park on the street.
The parts that are their fault are the selection and the customer service. Most of the time, they do not have everything that I need. Therefore, the selection is not the best. I understand that the area is small, but I think they can do a better job at making the best at what they have. Also, the employees there do not seem to like their jobs. Almost every time I go there, they do not seem very enthused to be there. I think it affects the customer service negatively.
To their benefit, they do a great job at the cleanliness and the organization. When I’m in there, I can find what I need pretty well. It’s not that hard. The employees seem to have a good eye at keeping everything clean. I’ve seen the place with a lot of people there, and they appear to still find time to clean.
This is a liquor store that I intend to only come into if I’m in the area. It’s not my first choice of liquor stores, but it’s not my last.

Don’t know where the previous tip got they were expensive. Very good prices.

This place is conveniently located in the Loring Park neighborhood, has friendly staff, and prices that aren’t too high considering the area of town it’s located in. Great place to pop into when you need an extra little something to go with that Food Network feast you’re planning for dinner :)

Selection is okay, and it is convenient, but the prices are way high. Does not deserve five stars. However, it is right by Lotus to-​go, so you are coming here anyway.

I know, I know, you’ll look at the four stars and think this place is a double-​decker booze palace… but stop yourself because it isn’t. :)
When I first started coming here about a year ago I just thought it was a very convenient liquor store because I lived right down the street. Each time I would come in to purchase my liquid goods, I started to get to know the clerks who work there. Over time we talked more and joked around and now we are friendly neighbors!
The booze is reasonably priced for being so close to downtown and the store is a nice smaller one. I like the smaller liquor stores because I don’t like wandering aimlessly in search of what I want.
*(I mean, I’ve ran into homeless people at larger liquor stores and I just wonder if the «homeless» man was actually employed at a big business firm and he fell victim to endlessly searching for his booze and then couldn’t find the exit, so now he just lives there.)
Well, in any way, this is such a great little liquor store; convenient, friendly, great location (to me!), and good prices!
