In my nerd dreams, every neighborhood has a library like this. Excellent small collection tailored to the neighborhood in a classic building. To the reviewer from October 2015 — around here libraries are resources for everyone(including children and parents). The fact that so many people of so many ages are here is a sign of a healthy library and community.

I want to love the library with its vaulted ceilings and rows of books, but I can’t. Librarians, PLEASE make at least MINIMAL effort to keep the children(and parents) that spend their time screaming, stomping, and running through this library under some level of control. I have been here several times and it’s always the same; even on weekdays and the evenings this library is treated by the parents of the community as a rumpus room, with no effort by librarians to shush even the loudest offenders. I do not recommend this library for adults who want to read and work. What happened to indoor voices?

My three year old loves story time on Wednesday and Friday mornings at 10:30. After that we pick out a book for him to check out.

Took my daughter to the baby story time here this morning — stories, songs, and toys afterward. The story teller was good, and it was a calm but fun event. I don’t know more parents don’t go to libraries to hang out with their kids, the kids can sit and look through books no matter what age, there’s an easel with alphabet magnets and chalk, crayons at the table, computers for older kids, and more! It’s free!
