Infiniti of Bloomington

First off I cannot easily rate 5 stars as I still plan to use their services. In 2011 I bought a lease returned 2008 EX35 Journey from Steve. Steve was a blessing to work with, with incredible knowledge, and compassion for what I was looking for in a vehicle. I was blown away with his honesty, and even the fact that he remembered me every time I came in for service. I highly recommend Steve.
I wanted to buy my 2^nd from him, but they seldom get used FX in, and generally they sell right away, I had to buy it elsewhere– in fact 200mi away. I still will look toward the future with Steve though.
Service: every time I went in, I never had many complaints only one time they lacked to wash my car.
Jim is a great service manager and was always very detailed over the inspections and recommended services/​cycles that would follow. Even with some maintenance, they were flexible with my work hours to provide a loaner when necessary– a couple JX35, and a couple q50 that I was thrilled to drive! I honestly found these two people (even the staff at the front desk) so personable. Truthfully have not regretted working with them.
If you read my review, take into consideration these two names. They are great. As I continue to progress my relationship with this team, my next review will likely be 5stars.

Run Don’t walk! you would think that a dealership that represents an elite Manufacturer such as Infiniti would not resort to common trickery. You’d think…

Looking for a car for our 16 year old daughter, we decided to look at a Passat. Paired with an earnest, very young salesman with folksy, midwestern stories.
Didn’t test drive, just looked at the car/​chatted with Brian for 20 minutes while the floor was DEAD. Asked to see vehicle’s inspection record; he couldn’t find it despite insisting it existed. Stated they had all the car’s maintenance records and would find those. The car was over our maximum budget, needed new tires right out of the gate, so, I thanked him for his time and politely wrote a dollar figure $ 1,000 lower than the sticker on a business card, pending a car inspection from my mechanic, and four tires from Infiniti (they can get tires much cheaper than we can) in case they couldn’t sell it.
An hour later i got a voicemail from Brian, saying he had «taken care of me.» getting me the car for my price and the tires too. I said I would arrange an inspection for tomorrow, which they tried immediately to pressure me into foregoing.
I brought my daughter back over that evening to test drive it. He produced a vague checklist with some random boxes checked off, less in depth than the «safety inspection» I get free with oil changes. Someone had written in some immediately needed repairs. He reassured me they’d been done. We asked for the service records, which Brian stated they couldn’t produce because of personal information (Sharpie and a copier, ??). We paid $ 500 to hold the car with the caveat it was fully refundable pending the inspection. By luck, I knew their mechanic, and he needed to see the car again as he had only done a few repairs they had asked him to do like tie rod ends (which were coincidentally missing from the summary of work needed or done they showed us)
I called Westside VW and with the VIN number got info that had been known to Infiniti via the service records and not disclosed to me, mostly regarding repairs VW’d recommended that hadn’t been completed. I brought it to be inspected. Brian called 4 – 5 times during the inspection, not understanding that it takes about 2.5 hours.
They found some significant problems – leaks and things that needed fixing right away, and identified near-​future repairs as well – but also provided unflattering new percentages for the brake pad and tire wear far worse than those listed listed on the «inspection checklist.» He verified that he had NOT filled out the inspection checklist they showed me, it was neither his form or his hand writing. He had NOT done the handwritten repairs noted thereon, or even an oil change – because he hadn’t been asked to. Brian needs to take responsibility for the integrity of the inspection and repair process of used cars before he sits down in front of customers.
This occurred within 36 hourswith Infiniti. Planning to purchase the car on the terms in Brian’s voicemail, I returned from the inspection. They were waiting for me, Brian and the sales manager «Scott,» when I got back. Brian came over to me and acted sorry, but stated the sales manager «Scott» (unseen little man behind the curtain) no longer wanted to sell me the car. THEY DID NOT CARE WHAT THE MECHANICAL INSPECTION SHOWED EVEN IF IT WOULD JEOPARDIZE ME OR THE NEXT BUYER. When confronted with their dishonesty regarding repairs and maintenance they SAID they’d done but HADN’T? I pointed out this verbiage from their OWN website: «With every Pre-​Owned vehicle you receive The Luther Advantage Package including Comprehensive Inspection, Written Warranty, Free Carfax, Clean Title Guarantee, and our Peace of Mind Exchange or Return Policy»…Scott’s actual words were, «too bad. It’s AS IS.» He called me some names and said I’d been a horrible customer, «wasting Brian’s time with endless nitpicking demands» I had been brief, straightforward, and pleasant at this dealership, and have conveyed herein the truly brief nature of my communications with them and the totality of my requests. Sadly, I burst into tears; it became clear that in his fervor to sell the car, Brian had spun tales to us about non-​existent inspections and completed work, and, had spun tales to Scott about how the educated, polite female veteran and mom who had spent a TOTAL of an hour in the dealership over three meetings had somehow HARASSED HIM BEYOND RELIEF.
Tearful, I went back out to Brian’s and said get this over with. He feigned concern but also ignorance. Scott came out with tissues and apologized for his behavior and begged me to stop crying (in view of other Infiniti customers!!) or come back later. I insisted on getting it all over with. Liars and idiots with no respect for a polite veteran with $ 5k trying to buy a used car for her daughter.

I can’t attest to the sales, but the service department was extremely painful. I arrived on time for a 4PM appointment to get my battery change at 4PM. I did not leave until 5:55PM. It took nearly 2 hours to change a battery? I’m sure you are asking there must be more to this story. Of course there is… but it doesn’t involve them doing any more work than changing the batteries. Here are some of the highlights:
1. The service rep was going to charge me the full price even though my battery was still under warranty. I reminded him of this fact, to which he responded that the system didn’t show this, when the real problem was that he didn’t care to look. As soon as he scrolled down his computer, he noticed the warranty .
2. The same service rep told me the warranty was only for 5 years, until I corrected him that the warranty lasts for 7 years.
3. It took them one hour to run a test to confirm that battery was bad, whereupon the rep asked me if I wanted to change the battery. It then took another 50 minutes to actually change the battery.
4. I spoke to the service manager, the guy who runs the show, about why does it take so long to change a battery. He was unapologetic, just telling me that «I have to ask my guys what went on», which (I suspect from the tone of his indifference) he didn’t do.
There was no car wash (the weather was too cold), so they couldn’t use this excuse. They never offered a loaner car (I heard Infiniti’s policy requires 2 hours of servicing for loaners to be offered and they timed the service for just under 2 hours.) So I was stuck there.
Keep in mind, changing your batteries at Infiniti dealership isn’t cheap even with the warranty (after 2 years on the warranty, you get a pro-​rated discount); you pay a premium for Infiniti dealerships for purportedly better service. But for this Infiniti, you can get much better and for less at an auto store or even a Walmart. I don’t like being the guy that departs from the other Unilocal rankings. But this Inifinit truly deserves this bad review.

I have been going here for 6+ years for my 2003 G35. I have always been treated respectfully. The customer service is excellent. The work that has been done, routine and otherwise, has always been great, too. Most important to me, I have never felt like I was being pushed into a service, nor bullied into getting services I do not need.

I recently traded in my 2004 G35 for a 2012 G37 and have never been happier with the overall experience from price quotes, test-​driving, negotiation, and the purchase of my new vehicle. An added «loyalty discount’ was quite the perk!
The dealership is conveniently open late, and has great customer amenities like coffee, snacks, etc. Great showroom– makes you want to buy more!
I worked with Jarrod Turner and I must say– his customer service is top-​notch. Not only did he research the best vehicle options and pricing scenarios, but he’s gone above and beyond what a dealer/​salesman would do for his clients. If anything has come up, he’s taken care of me. I’m definitely referring anyone who’s interested to Jarrod @ Bloomington. Great guy, who’s honest and sincerely wants to sell the best deal to his customers.

This is the closest Infiniti dealer that I could find after I moved from IL with my Infiniti M35x.
I looked up for service specials on their website and I could find an oil change for less than $ 30 and a great customer service when I went in to get it done. The service manager was very helpful and informed me about the things to look out for in the next few months with regard to tires and brakes.
The showroom is beautiful (obviously) because they sell high end cars. I’m going back to them for replacing tires right before the great Minnesota winter kicks in. I think the service manager told me they have specials on tires too… like 20% off or so. Not bad when each tire can cost you an arm and a leg and some. I’m happy to find a great dealership close by (~20 miles) and can’t be more happy with my ride.
