This is probably one of my favorite spots in Minnesota to come for Phở. The food is excellent. With that being said the service as of late has been very lacking. This place used to have really great service. I’m a regular who comes in all the time. It used to be to the point where severs know exactly what I want before I even order it. The severs were excellent, friendly, talkative and made you feel very welcome. The new staff seems very impersonal. With the exception of one of the servers that still knows me, it doesn’t feel as welcoming. Kinda just seems like give me your order and shut up. There was even a couple times were one of the servers what argue with me about my order. She didn’t write it down got my order wrong and tried to blame it on me. That’s pretty unacceptable. I still come here because I love the food but some definite change needs to be done about the staff if they want the business to thrive. Just my humble opinion.

Been here couple times dealing with horrible services. Just today, we waited 40+ minutes just for two large bowl of phở and spring rolls. I actually got done watching two episodes of Dragon ball and still no food. We left after over seeing two customers before us getting their phở first. What happen to first come first served? It’s more likely race comes first served now. After waited so long, we finally got our spring rolls but no phở so we just left. Never coming here again.

My dad and I went in today based on the reviews of my aunt and uncle. We asked for a 1lb of each item. Either the girl was new or she had no idea what she was doing. She would scoop some of the food into the bowl and scale it. If it was over 1lb then she would scoop out some of the food and measure it again until it was 1lb or less. Everyone also knows that for soup the actual food should be measured first and then add the soup later. Normally picking up food shouldn’t take so long but I felt like I was standing there forever waiting for her to get exactly 1lb of everything

We ordered our food to go, first time being here. Service was good and polite. The egg rolls were okay, I had meant to order veggie not pork. Spring rolls were good as well but not great. Cream cheese wonton were enjoyed by my kids. Shrimp fried rice was excellent. I am always afraid to order it because of the shrimp quality. The shrimp was a good size and the rice tasty. Finally my daughter ordered an avocado Bobo tea and I the mango which was excellent. I will definitely be going back to try the phở try different Boba teas.

Service is subpar at best, but that’s not why I’m a regular. Phở is flavorful, plenty of meat and in my opinion the best in northern suburbs of Minneapolis. Love their bun also. Egg rolls are average. The place has this«little coffee shop» feel to it, quaint and cozy. Back to the crappy customer service, they are known to charge tip upfront and not telling the customer, and charge you for things you didn’t order so make sure you check your bill twice.

Use to love this place but services and food has gone down hill. I called to place an order Togo and due to them ALWAYS mixing up orders and giving me someone else’s order, I gave them my name. She said yeah and hung up the phone. I called back to ask for the total she then said«someone pick up already» and hung up again. RUDEMUCH!!! I think I’ll go to thanh vi or mandarin down the street!

See the place all the time when we go to Lemongrass but never tried it until last night. For sure will be coming back, food is much more authentic and cater towards the Asian flavor palette. I love Lemongrass but lately I feel like their food is more cater towards the White flavor palette and they focus too much on fancying their food instead of the taste. I felt right at home here at Kim, the food and taste was familiar.

Unique menu but I went simple with the Sweet N Sour chicken and spring rolls. I was shocked it was $ 16. Then more shocked that there were 9 pieces of chicken. Spring rolls were not all that good. Chicken was good quality but too much bread with the taste of old oil. $ 11 for the chicken was way overpriced. More like $ 7 tops.

Horrible service. I was seated in a cold section back of the restaurant. Less than 30seconds from being sat I get told to put an order in. We haven’t even opened our menus. Granted it was busy, the server rolled her eyes and walked away. A few minutes later she came and slammed waters on the table and and asked if we were ready yet. we asked for an appetizer to start and told her we’d be ready when she came back. She fussed and walked away. We asked a different server if we could move to a warmer spot because we were under a vent(there were four open tables just dirty) Server looked at me and said«no» and walked away. We were willing to wait. I’ve been there many times and the service was always bad but today was unacceptable. Even with poor service I still leave 20−30% tip because I’m in the service industry as well. This time was my last. Food here was never good enough to keep me going back I just go for convenience. Sorry guys you are the worst Vietnamese restaurant in mn.

Poor customer service! Host squeezed us into a very crammed corner and gave us a very wobbly table. When we asked the waitress for a booth, she denied us and said that they’re only for bigger groups, although there were two groups of twosomes on each side of us who got booths. And as we ate, we looked around… Yep! Empty booths everywhere. Waitress also forgot our bubble tea order, but we were so displeased already, we let it go. We’ll keep or money, thanks. She also never came back to refill our water. Food was mediocre, small portions. My man got the bumble hue, which he finished in like two bites. I got the rice platter and to my disappointment, they gave very little pork skin and egg custard. Spring rolls hardly had any meat. Go somewhere else if you want a bigger bang for your buck.

This place used to be good especially their phở. Since they moved a street down, their phở quality went down as well tremendously. Phở taste like dessert… too sweet. The service is terrible as well.

The food is ok. Okay enough for me to come back, but the service is just terrible. My sister and i went there and they were not busy. We were sat down first, but some tables that came after us were serviced before us. Not only that, they don’t stay alert on things like people needing refills, etc. I like the food, but please better your service.

I love the food here, but the service is terrible. They don’t serve people in order and take forever. But again, lucky the food is good is why I keep coming back. Food is what matters but seriously, hire better servers or learn to service your customers better.

Food is great but the service sucks. I’ve been here numerous of times and I feel like every time I come here, my friends and I always end up waiting for up to 40 minutes to an hour! 10 – 15 minutes of a wait just to place an order for food. &30 – 40 minutes wait time to be served. I feel like the waitresses and waiters neglects their customers, especially if you’re sitting in the back of the building. They don’t even come by to tell you how long of the wait is left, or refill your cup of water after a long wait. I’m not saying that this expected but to make your customer feel like they’re being ignored really is one of the most irritating feelings when at a restaurant. Please, get your act together staffs of Kim Anh! FOODNOTES: –Bun Bo Hue: Love it. I usually like to add Siracha & hoisin for some extra flavor –Phở: Love it. Broth is delicious. –Spring Rolls: Decent size. Spring roll & sauce is good. OTHER: –Your customer service sucks(sorry just had to reiterate it, AGAIN.)

Been wanting to try this place for a while. Wanted to try it more than once before I made my review. I’m a Vietnamese junkie and know my way around the kitchen courtesy my Vietnamese mother in law. Sure there’s the staple Vietnamese restaurants in Minneapolis and Saint Paul that really makes this state shine. But I’ve been on the search for something comparable on the north side. One thing I’ve struggled with in Minnesota when it comes to Unilocal is Minnesota’s taste palate. Don’t get me wrong, I love my family’s tough German iron range heritage but when it comes to food, their taste buds(for the most part) are pretty bland. So let’s keep this short. Been to dozens and dozens of Vietnamese restaurants throughout the state courtesy my Vietnamese fiancé and family. I found my favorite phở restaurant(see reviews) and although theirs is good, it’s not what stands out for me. Nor is their bun bo hue. But boy oh boy, I finally found my banh mi restaurant of choice. It absolutely blows every other restaurant out of the water, and I always get banh mi, regardless what else I order. Only word of caution, they sell out fast(good sign). So don’t expect it for dinner. Call ahead and make sure they’re there. If they are, buy as many as possible. Reheat in oven and for God’s sake get the pork.

I used to love this place. But one incident ruined it for me and will never come back… …MYWIFEFOUND A SHEETROCKSCREW in her Bun Rieu soup. The same soup we were feeding my 1 year old daughter… My wife was almost done with it, feels something hard in her mouth, and pulls out a 2 inch black sheet rock screw. We complain, she brings the screw back to cooks, and she comps just that one bowl. Not the whole meal. One bowl. I’m usually ok hair and stuff cuz shit happens… but my wife or baby could have seriously got injured. I can’t go back. Forever uncleeeeeeeean.

I like this place for its food and proximity to where I work. Some of the best Phở I’ve had in town. And that’s backed up by my friend who is Hmong. I’ve had the beef and meat ball and chicken Phở and both of them are excellent. I was chastised by my friend that Phở is not made with chicken, always beef. But I found the chicken to very good. I’ve also had their egg rolls and spring rolls which are good, I wouldn’t say great. I’ve also had their fried rice, C1. Shredded pork, pork chop and egg, now this was excellent, not oily at all, and a huge serving too, made two meals. It makes me hungry just writing about the place. I can’t wait to try their Banh Mi, fried dumplings, and the rest of the menu. My only complaint would be replace the menus, they are old and ratty. They look dirty and are dog eared.

I don’t care for Viet food too much, had it a lot growing up. However, when I or my family craves for it we come here. Beats the other local places with its authenticity, atmosphere, and even though it gets crazy busy the food is consistent. The ol lowdown: Thumbs up: –good viet food –Variety of menu from drinks, food, baked goods, and desserts. From my understanding lots is made in house –you get what you pay for –family owned and operated, it adds to the whole equation and experience –OK c.s. don’t expect to come here for fabulous service, you know that going in your experience will be golden Thumbs down: –their menu changes or there aren’t things on there when it says, late updates –OK c.s. –when it’s busy expect a long wait for drinks, like bobas Family joint will be back!
