Ordered a take out veggie pizza. It was good but could have used more sauce. The price was on the higher side for a large however it did come loaded with veggies which was awesome. I’d try again! P. S. If you are going to a Gopher event than check out parking options. They may allow you to park there for X amount and give you food voucher for after. Your parking is then practically free!

I go here to drink. They have two large patios that are peaceful even though they are on university ave. I also enjoy the large bar inside because there is usually always a seat. You feel comfortable here, and have no problem wasting a summer eve enjoying their daily specials. All the bartenders are personable and friendly, get to know them! If you do eat here though, get the wings, cheese bread, mozz sticks, or pizza(although some are better than the others). They have a large menu, but stick to the basics and you will most likely be satisfied!

TWO Happy hours EVERYDAY4pm-6pm and 10:30pm-12:30am. 2−4 – 1’s on ANY beer(Even Surly) and $ 2 off ANY liquor or wine, and kickass cheese bread. Seriously, during happy hour you get 5 huge pieces of cheese bread for $ 3.50. Plus two patios and off-street parking. Now on to the pizza: you can get a pepperoni pizza anywhere. Yawn. Try a specialty pizza like the Southwest, Hot Tower or Italian Stallion. I’m giving this an extra star to balance out the ratings from the guy who just probably came on a bad night. I’ve never had a bad time there, and have been going there for four years.

Wow. I never went here in college because Campus Pizza ruined me for all other pizzas, but now I am wondering if my innate love of the pizza pie kept me from the horror that is this place. It astounds me that there can be such a huge difference between this Leaning Tower and the glory of the Uptown one. To start: There are three main components of a beautiful pizza: 1) Crust. This one was awful. The top was still raw and doughy, but the bottom was hard as a wedding night wee. And also slightly cut up the roof of my mouth(which, well… yeah…) Not good. 2)Sauce. I do like the Leaning Tower sauce, but this one had so much on it, all the toppings flopped right off. Don’t get me wrong; I love saucy pizza… but not when: 3) Toppings. They definitely didn’t skimp on the toppings, but when there’s so much sauce it’s more like a casserole on a cracker than a pizza, over topping just makes things an even bigger soggy mess. Heinous pizza aside, we waited probably 45 minutes on a dead Monday night for ours. We saw our waitress once when she took our order, then pretty much never again. Someone else brought out our food and yet a third person gave us more water. I think the waitress spent more time glaring at us from across the room than she actually did attending to us(I wasn’t even being bitchy or scary, I swear.) I realize this place is for college kids, probably staffed by college kids, and pretty much serves the just-turned-21 crowd… but seriously? Uptown Leaning Tower must feel like this place is the cousin they wish they didn’t have to invite to the family reunion :-(. If I wasn’t so desperate for my foursquare Pizzaiolo badge, this heinous occasion would have never happened… but I have it now?

I wanted to like this place, because I lived close to it for 5 years, but it is extremely expensive. It’s also very salty, very greasy, and terrible sauce. Another reviewer said it reminded him of Jack’s frozen pizza. Man that is a PERFECT comparison. The crust is often burnt and by the time it arrives it is soggy. I ordered three large pizzas once at around 8 pm on a weekday, not exactly prime time, and it took an hour and 15 minutes to arrive, and it cost nearly $ 100. I kept expecting this place to go out of business, but I guess pizza ingredients are so cheap that you don’t have to make many sales at $ 30 a pizza to stay in business.

I am always on the lookout for a good pizza place. Since this one was near the University, I thought that it would be pretty good. Well, I was wrong. The crust was pretty good but the sauce wasn’t very tasty at all. It reminded me of the cardboard pizza sauce, like from a Jack’s frozen pizza. They had three types of crust there: I had the thin crust and my coworker had the thick crust. There also was an extra thin but we didn’t see anyone else in the place eating that. I should have known that our experience wasn’t going to be great when pizza was five or six pages into their menu. It is also a bad sign that none of the other patrons at lunch time were having a pizza. It is probably good for beer and pizza but if you are looking for a good pizza joint, keep looking.

Our favorite delivery pizza. They have gotten much more reliable with their deliveries lately. Pizza is pretty darn good. Wings are a bit addicting as well.

I enjoyed going to Leaning Tower because well, I lived right above it. Despite this huge advantage, I was a fan of their pizza. The crust wasn’t thick crust – sort of in between. But good nonetheless and an OK deal. They have specials every night and a lot of the times those deals involve pizza. Their bar is small but good and they have a nice selection of beer on tap. I tried a couple of their sandwiches but wasn’t too impressed – they were soggy and messy. Appetizers were alright but definitely knew they were frozen and just thrown into the oven. I’d come here for a pizza and beer.
