I stumbled upon this food truck at a local brewery. And boy am I so glad I did! I absolutely love wood/coal fired pizza, and Little G’s did not disappoint! We had the Italian pizza, which was so delicious. Their crust is perfectly chewy and crisp at the same time, cooked to perfection. You could tell it was fresh green pepper rings and red onion on it. Lots of sausage… Seriously, incredibly delicious to say the least! I’ll have to scope out their lunch hour locations now and pray that they are near where I am! Would and will absolutely recommend them to all of my friends!

Fabulous Pizza!!! Little G’s was at my niece’s graduation party and the pizza was unbelievable. I would hire them for any occasion. The pizza was every thing you are looking for, great toppings, crisp crust and and a oven smoked flavor.

Little G’s catered a friends wedding. They showed up and cooked pizza until everyone had their fill. The Orchard pizza(apple, bacon, goat cheese) was divine, BBQ, Sausage, and Margherita were all great. Best pizza around!

Awesome made to order pizza! I caught up with these guys at Indeed Brewery and had one of their Hot Hawaiian pizzas. That pizza was good! A nice combination of sweet, salty and spiciness. I had extra jalapenos on it to make it extra spicy. I look forward to trying some of the other pizza options they had on the menu next time.

The first thing I noticed upon walking up to the big red trailer is that there’s an actual wood-fired oven in this thing! I’d had a half fear that they were going to be heating up Totinos or something but that giant brick oven hanging out of the back of the trailer assured me that this was going to be the real deal. The first piece I tried was from the Orchard half. Coated generously with apples, bacon, and gorgonzola cheese, sprinkled with toasted almonds and drizzled in almond oil, the Orchard hits hard with its deep and savory flavors. On the other side of the pizza was the Hot Hawaiian, covered in cheddar cheese and topped with jalapeño slices and cubes of ham and pineapple. While the Orchard brought the sweet and savory, the Hot Hawaiian killed it with the sweet and spicy. I didn’t get the impression that the ingredients used on these pizzas were the kinds of «fresh, organic, local» ingredients that I’ve gotten used to expecting from these food trucks. However, they worked so deliciously together that I didn’t mind the feeling that perhaps my bacon and ham didn’t come from a free-range pig(Is that a thing? Just go with it). The real winner here — what really sets Little G’s apart from the other downtown pizza offerings– is the crust. It’s perfectly chewy and soft, not so thick as to overpower and fill you up too quickly, but sturdy enough to hold the weight of the plentiful toppings. An important –and sometimes overlooked!- element of street food is that it must be easy enough to eat without utensils or on-the-go. The best part about the crust is the charred, smoky flavors that come from cooking it in the wood oven. Not only do you get the sweet/savory/spicy tones from the toppings, but you also get to enjoy another dimension of flavor when you throw all of that onto this smoky crust. Service Little G was warm and friendly, eager to share his passion for pizza. Presentation On a 10-inch cardboard circle, cut into squares, folded into a wax paper bag. Taste Nothing missing here, the taste was phenomenal. I want to go back and try the Buffalo Chicken and the Taco pizzas that I’ve read great things about. Value for Dollars Between $ 7 and $ 9 for a whole 10-inch pizza. It took a little self-control, but I managed to save a couple of pieces to eat cold with my lunch the next day. Overall Food Truck Experience Little G’s was great; it delivered exactly the taste and quality that I had hoped for.

If you’re in downtown Minneapolis, there’s a new food truck in town that’s really getting things fired up! Little G’s Mobile Pizzeria is exactly that, a wood-fired brick oven pizzeria on wheels that cranks out amazing pizzas almost anywhere you can imagine. While permitting and turf battles keep it from going everywhere, chef-owner John Goral’s pizza truck can most often be found on 8th and Marquette in downtown Minneapolis. $ 8 gets you a whole 10-inch pizza with a variety of toppings that changes fairly often. While traditional pizzas are available, Goral often experiments with more than just sausage and pepperoni, with excellent results. He makes a mean Tex-Mex BBQ chicken pizza and I just tried a gyro pizza with tzatziki sauce and feta cheese that melts in your mouth. As it’s largely still a one-man operation, he’s still working on developing a more robust online presence, so it helps to follow him on both Facebook and Twitter(@gsmobilepizza) to make sure you get any updates. I’m a big fan and I think you will be, too!

Wow, what a treat! We asked Little G to bring his mobile, wood fired pizza oven to one of our company functions. We expected the pizzas to be good(what isn’t, when cooked near a wood flame?), but we didn’t expect the pizzas to be so good that we would immediately start discussing when we could invite him back. The crust was perfectly done, not too doughy and not too thin. The sauce was fantastic and the ingredients were first rate. If you get a chance to try the taco pizza, don’t pass it up!

Great wood fired pizza for a great price! $ 5 gets you a slice the size of an entire paper plate and it’s really tasty. I’ve had a few kinds and the cheese and sausage is my favorite. The sausage is really good and that makes all the difference. This is really solid pizza overall, everything from the crust to the toppings are really good. I also like the fresh garlic they put on some of their pizzas for when you really don’t care about having bad breath. Fresh garlic on mozzarella is just to die for.
