I want to start with the fact that our server in the lanes was GREAT(and the only reason this is 2 stars instead of 1)! She came around frequently and was very friendly. The rest of our experience, however, was enough to make our group not return. We were having a family reunion and called earlier in the evening on a Saturday to figure out our options for a group of 18. We were told that since the league was just finishing in an hour, come right at the end and we could get 3 lanes together. We even had someone go ahead of us to ensure these were all secured. They were not and the people working at this time said we’d have to wait almost another hour. We waited and were given a great deal for 12 wings/soda/and 2 hours of bowling with three lanes together. We thought the wait was worth it. During our wait, we sat in the restaurant and the server was not very patient. He did seem overworked for the number of tables that were full, though. He made a comment about if one of our ladies couldn’t make up her mind while he was at the table, she wasn’t getting a drink. We weren’t here long and the food was pretty decent. We were NOT informed that with over 30 minutes left for our bowling, the place turns into 21+ only and everyone else would have to leave. You cannot sell a 2 hour slot and not tell the customers that they have to leave before their time is up! We had 3 relatives who were 19 or 20. A member of our group(and our DD) who had a sleeping baby laying on her. She was not bothering anybody and sat in a back booth away from the drinking with her sleeping child. Regardless, she was repeatedly approached by workers and managers to leave. While the deal was great, the food was pretty decent, and one of our servers was good, it was not worth it for the horrible communication/lack of organization, the rudeness, and the difficulty to have a large group. We’ll take our business elsewhere in the future.

Awesome bowling alley — clean, organized and fast wait time! By the way the bar is modern and tidy! Usually the bars inside bowling alleys are a dive or scary! The cashier was super friendly and the staff are great! Lanes are fully functional and do are the systems! Only downer was seating. But definitely my favorite bowling alley! Parking lot so stress free parking! Pricing’s pretty decent for a Saturday night! 2 games for two people including shoe rental about $ 28. AMF lanes are usually $ 20 or more yikes! Can’t wait to come back to memory lanes!

Went here for a Unilocal event and I have no complaints. The lanes are great and we never had any technical issues while here. It was pretty busy due to the event but we still managed to see the wait staff a few times to help us. Some of the arcade machines are broken(no player 2 on Terminator and the score on air hockey doesn’t work) but they do have a tabletop Galaga/Pacman. If I had to go again I wouldn’t complain.

The service is awful and the staff are unaware of all the problems that are ensuing. Our lane was shut down for over 10 minutes without any help even though we had asked maintenance. Our drinks were never refilled and after seeking another worker he said that he could not serve me because I was not sitting at the bar. Workers reeked of marijuana and could not complete any task even upon multiple requests.

I love this place and have made several great memories inside. Who doesn’t love bowling? It’s not a flashy place but it has a good old soul.

Great bowling place if you’re around the Dinky town area on the weekend. It’s clean and not that busy so wait time for a lane is very minimal. Definitely bring an ID if you are a student because the games are discounted to $ 3 per game during Friday and Saturday nights and the third game is only $ 1 extra. All you can bowl after 11:30 pm on the weekend is only $ 7 plus tax for students-quite a steal!

This is our typical Sunday spot to watch football and grab a bite to eat for about the last 4 years since they have NFL Sunday ticket. The food usually pretty good and the waitstaff and bartenders are funny and nice. We have ventured out to a few different places to try something new and I defiantly would say this is our favorite.

Some workers were nice and pleasant. Aka Nick. Others made us feel unwanted. If you say you’re going to be open until 2, be open until 2. And screamo shouldn’t be the default bowling music.

We were here on a Sunday night as a group of out-of-towners in Minny for the women’s hockey Frozen Four and had a blast. Good looking out to the cashier who told us to just pay for the hour/unlimited so that we had our night taken care of for like $ 10 apiece. The lanes were darkened, but it wasn’t glow bowl, sadly. The scorekeeper animation was delightfully weird. The staff was attentive without being over-bearing, the drinks were delicious and they have bubble-hockey.

I love the dive-ish bar vibe, but the prices seem high for the quality of the lanes(wax those babies) and the service is inconsistent. Usually one drink arrives incorrectly, most recently it was a long dark hair in a whiskey. But, I still like this place and when you want to pay less than Bryant Lake or maybe add some trivia or cheese curds, it’s a solid option.

This was my first time here or maybe I had been to this place way way back in the day when it was Stardust lanes, but its been years. The service was A+! I don’t think we could have had a nicer server. She was attentive and friendly! We did not eat anything so I can not comment on the food but my ball never got stuck, I found a light enough ball, and I didn’t fall on too oily of lanes, so I had a great time! The Bar seemed to be really packed around 6PM so I think its a neighborhood hangout for many. I would definitely go back!

I’ve bowled, had cocktails at memory lanes before, but never really ate there, until today, it was nice enough to walk there from my work(across the street lol) I ordered the tuna sandwich for lunch take out. It was WAY better than what I anticipated it to be. YUM. pretty much the best tuna sandwich I’ve ever had. This is kind of a bad thing that I know their food is so delicious, now I’ll be ordering take out all the time. I recommend!

Memory Lane is an apt name as I have many lovely memories of afternoons spent bowling, drinking, and watching football games(while bowling & drinking) with my friends. For over a year I was a regular at Memory Lanes as I was a member of a Sunday league. The lanes are well maintained and oiled, the staff is friendly, and the food is decent. The most recent beer list had my favorite beer(Left Handed Milk Stout Nitro) on draft, so that gets two thumbs up.

I have been to Memory Lanes a couple of times with friends /family /work parties and now a Unilocal event. I would not say that I am a good bowler(but I was in a league for a year or two) but they are good lanes and even better that they are in the city. Whenever I think about bowling with friends I always think that I have to leave the cities and head out to the suburbs to bowl. But that is not true! Memory lanes is a medium /large size bowl location with nice lanes and good bowling lane food. They have good deals on drinks black lights for bowling later on. All in all I would recommend this for a place to go for a night out bowling

I’ve been coming to Memory Lanes for years so I suppose it’s about time I boast about them! Whether you’re just looking for a basic bite to eat and a pitcher of beer or perhaps you’re up for a rowdy night of bowling and/or darts(and/or foos ball — which I am never looking for… because I am terrible at it…), Memory Lanes has you covered. Sometimes they’ll even set up a stage in the middle of the lanes and you’ll be treated to live music. IN A BOWLINGALLEY. Yes, it’s great. Yes, you should be a fan. No, you’d better not steal my dart board. ;) Oh, and if you’re one of the rare birds who stays in town over the first long weekend of spring/summer, Memory Lanes hosts an annual(FREE) Memorial Day Weekend block party full of bands, booze, and fun. Come for the music, stay for the people-watching. Good times to be had by all.

Rock and roll bingo on Wednesdays and trivia Sunday nights. This place is the best. Cheap beer specials and pretty good wait staff esp. This one gal.(I can’t remember her name, the one with the septum piercing) the pizza is pretty good, thin crust and cheesy.

Memory Lanes Bowling in Minneapolis was one of the worst place I have ever visited. The hours of operation on the door did not coincide with their actual operation hours. My family and I waited for about 10 minutes before we had any services and we were the only customer there. Before we even got our game started the manager/owner walked over to let us know(Again) that we will be charged an extra person if the 6th person wants to bowl. The 6th person was my three years old daughter. We couldn’t order any pop because they were all flat. When we got our food it was tasteless and sloppy with our cheese dips half covered on the plate. The only positive thing was that we were the only customer in the place(I understand why now) and that I got it off of Groupon which I had to pay the sales tax of $.67 cent before he would validate my Groupon voucher. I use Groupon all the time and this is the first time I’ve had to pay sales tax for using my Groupon voucher.

This is a solid bowling alley ANDTHENSOME. I first came here for the Unilocal Christmas Party. Had a great time, and when I saw that Better off Bowling was starting a league here I joined. It’s super convenient with street parking, lot parking — all free! The lane all work — huge plus, and the staff is really friendly and definitely attentive to your requests, drink orders, lane issues, etc. This is more on the side of old school vs. brand new alley like Lucky Strike. Which is so much more approachable. They have a pretty extensive drink and beer menu. You are going to be able to get more food than just fries and burgers and a Miller Lite. I’ve never eaten any of the food, but I’m impressed with the wide variety of options. They have a nice little bar area as well off to the side. I’m definitely a fan! I’ll have to check more this winter when I need social activities indoors!

The worst nachos I’ve ever had. Soggy chips that taste like rancid oil, jalapeños that literally taste as if they’ve been washed in bleach and chicken that is as dry as the Sahara and tastes like it too. Cold tater tots and a quesadilla with giant chunks of green pepper in it… bad bad bad… I suggest drinking before you eat. That way you won’t care that the food is the suck. But…friendly staff, albeit inattentive… cheap beer… fun bands… I like coming here. It’s a neighborhood place. Ya take the bad with the good.
