Mt. Fuji

I can’t believe I am the first person to write a review for this quaint sushi bar in Uptown. We’ve gone there twice and had a great time on both occasions. They have outdoor seating that is perfect for the summer when you want to soak up every last ounce of sunshine. Great appetizers– miso soup, (vegetarian!) spring rolls, and salty edamame. It doesn’t open until 3 on the weekends, but Happy Hour starts right away with great deals on 8−10-piece rolls, as well as drink specials. We were able to try a little bit of everything with the Happy Hour prices! I’ve seen fancier presentation, but the Treasure Island roll was beautifully plated with different colored roe and tempura. My avocado roll wasn’t the best, but the vegetable roll and miso soup made up for it. The ambience was a little dark for a 3 o’clock late lunch date, but the spots by the windows would make up for it.
This place seems unknown, but the food is good, service is fast, and you can almost always find a table! Not my absolute first choice for sushi in Uptown, but it’s open the earliest and has the earliest Happy Hour, so I give it 4 stars!
