This store has saved me on several occasions when I’ve needed a cable, a keyboard stand, or some drum sticks in a hurry. Admittedly, there are some items that I have to go further for, like the picks and strings that I prefer. That said, the people who work there are all incredibly friendly and approachable. There’s no mean-spirited attitude that I’ve ever encountered, and their selection of guitars gets me to swing through occasionally and see what’s new and interesting.

This place has become a central part of my life. It’s unassuming from the outside so when people suggested it as a place to put my precious children in music lessons I had to do some recon. I’ve never met more caring and talented music teachers and knowledgeable and caring staff all in an atmosphere that feels more like you’re trying an instrument at your friend’s house and not a retail outlet. Andy Kopp, Andrew Thomas, and Tom Hagstrom have been guiding my children in their musical journeys. They are in good hands.

Support your local music store! These guys are super helpful. The customer service is very friendly and attentive. The shop has a good selection of guitar and band instruments. They carry new and used equipment. However, pretty much everything is in between the novice and intermediate price level. They don’t have many high end brands available. So if you are looking to for a special edition Martin or Gibson acoustic, you’ll have to go elsewhere. They have a guitar repair guy that comes by a couple times a week to pick up and drop off repair items. I came in looking for an estimate to repair a cracked cross member in my acoustic guitar. I felt like he gave me an honest answer and a fair price. Long story short: he would do his best to repair it but didn’t want to give me any false hope. The fix is still going strong after two months and sounds as good as new. Glad I took a chance with the repair. We’ll see how it holds up long term. In the mean time I am thankful to get a little more usage out of my guitar. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in need of guitar repair.

I used to really like this place but the last three times I was in I had to go to Guitar Center to get what I needed. The staff are nice and helpful and it is a good place to go for used gear.

My Music is a pretty underrated. No one seems to place it amoung the very best in music stores in the metro. But it really should be in that conversation. A medium size place, not too big, not to small. Just right. The staff is helpful, they have a great mix of used, new, and vintage gear. The one thing I wish is that they had some more bigger guitar amps. Lot’s of combo amps. Their repair staff is terrific. 3 – 4 days turn around time on your average set up. Unlike the week to 10 days at other places. Fair dealings on trade ins as well. The only strange thing is that they put list prices on the gear, so you have to ask how much something costs. Sort of a «for you, it’s…» thing.
