Went here again yesterday and spoke with the owner a bit more and got more prepared foods. Amazing. Owner is of Lao heritage, so that makes me even MORE excited since it’s my favorite cuisine. A lot of «Thai» food is actually northern thai/Laoatian. I was so excited to see items like sakoo sai moo(tapioca balls with sweet pork filling), which due to it’s unavailability in restaurants I’ve painstakingly prepped at home and it’s a PAIN, but now I can buy even better ones done right at New Orient! Also had awesome sweet sticky rice with taro wrapped in banana leaf and a decent price on coconut milk. Unfortunately they were out of jerky, which if you like beef jerky that’s sweet, this is the place to get it(as it was sold out, I imagine I’m not the only one who finds it delish!). They also have a good variety of fresh asian veggies at more reasonable prices than some of the other stores up the road. I wish more people would shop here! This place is awesome!
