NTB – National Tire & Battery

While the staff was friendly, I ended up waiting three hours for just a tire rotation and an oil change. Not how I wanted to spend my morning, especially when I wasn’t a walk-​in; I had scheduled my appointment earlier in the week. Other customers came in, were serviced and left before they even brought my car back.

Cars are never exciting for me to maintain or fix as they always cost money & I’d rather pay off my car than spend more on maintenance so it is all the more important to know that when I am maintaining my car that the service center, mechanics & products offered are a good value at a aggressively competitive cost point while preventing unnecessary future repairs. NTB here in St Louis Park is such a value. Knowledgable, helpful, competent, service oriented staff and management takes great care of the necessities. I hope they hire a few more above par mechanics so they can receive more clients during the day. I will be scheduling first thing in the morning every time!

Went in for an oil change and asked for a quote on tires and some other work I needed done. Turns out they were able to get everything done in a couple hours while I waited! I am so impressed! Everyone I dealt with was very friendly and courteous, and they kept me updated on the progress as they went along. I really appreciated that I wasn’t treated as if I’m an idiot for not being a car officiando, like I have been at other places. They took me into the shop to show me what exactly needed to be fixed and didn’t try to add on unnecessary services. I will be a customer for life as long as they are offering such superb customer service!

I just had two great experiences at this NTB — one for tires, the other from battery. I researched tires and determined the brand I wanted to buy — NTB had them in stock at a very good price — in addition to which I received a rebate. I could schedule my appointment on line. The store is recently remodeled and very clean, open and bright. Todd, the service manager, took time to answer my questions. The car was delivered in the time promised. Todd also recommended a new battery with a rebate. Even without the rebate, NTB’s prices were lower than those I found at other battery dealers. I definitely recommend this place for their pricing, ease of scheduling, atmosphere, and communication.

I called on a Monday, gave them my car description and what qualities I was looking for in tires and Todd not only gave me the standard choices… he also let me know that if I went up or down a couple sizes (totally legit) that I could take advantage of sales they were having. He told me about which tires I could have at different price points and sales within what I wanted.
I was able to get tires on the next day! They have night drop off and even after hours pick up if you really need it. He was prompt with giving me a status and he even was pro-​active and did research to find a new wheel, if I wanted it, because the technician found that one of my wheels was a bit bent. Todd did the work to find me an A-​grade salvage one in MICHIGAN! They are going to put it on for free when I go back in!
