I stopped at Ike’s while waiting for my flight… The place was packed with a waiting line… Even the bar was totally full so I decided to walk a few gates down to O’Garas. It was maybe 10% full… Now I know why! The waitress was very rude, I asked for my table to be wiped down twice since it had never been cleaned from the previous guest. All I got each time was a dirty look. The table never got cleaned. I asked if they had an IPA on tap… Her response was«yes we do, the summit EPA.» I said, «That’s not an IPA, that’s an EPA.» She responded, «I’ll come back when you figure out what you want.» This is NOT the O’Gara’s that I am used to.

I travel a bit and I must say to the management of this establishment, Would you please get off your buts and properly staff the restaurant! Sweet Jesus! Viva is running around doing her best to take care of everyone and the elderly lady working the front counter just sits there doing nothing, come on, people need to get the food and get on a plane. Food was cold, and it really Pisces me off to see someone working so hard and another just stand there.

We decided to walk on over to O’Gara’s due to Ike’s being ridiculous. Glad we did. We had time to kill, the place was not packed. There was no greeter and we really didn’t see a server anywhere so we decided to seat ourselves towards the back. Almost every set of tables had two outlets available. Being in an airport where charging ports are scarce, this was a huge bonus of this place — especially since we had a few hours to kill. The first red flag was our table not being clean. Really there weren’t too many options for sitting, but I would think that they would at least clean a cleared table? There was even a working sitting at the table across from us, putting silverware together. At any point she probably could’ve gotten up to clean it. We waited, and ended up doing it ourselves. Great we thought, whatever, just a few more hours until our flight. Figured we would get food and just walk and people watch. Our server came, we made our orders, mine was the turkey club? I asked if my side of fries could be their loaded fries — which was at no cost more, by the way. Score. And just like that, our food was there. It was pretty good, fries were fried, the bacon on my turkey club was a bit too crispy. But all in all we had a fairly good experience. The server even let my husband be in charge of the television. Even when our food was done and gone, didn’t even rush us out the door like most do. I would certainly return if I’m ever transitioning through the MSP airport again, next time I would hope I wouldn’t have to clean my own table.

The Reuben with home made corned beef was REALLY good. Good prompt service. A little weird that they leave chairs up in a seating area to prevent folks from sitting in that area(which is not separate).

I suppose it depends on flight schedules, but this place was PACKED when I came. The service was nothing great, but it was an obvious reflection of the crowded bar. I can’t comment on food, but the Guinness I had was everything I wanted. Cheers.

Lethe food is ok. The service is seriously slow. If you in a rush, just don’t stop! Every little thing you’ll need take just too long.

Average airport bar. Several beers to try. Full bar. Typical burger and sandwich bar food. Nothing spectacular, but better than being hungry on a plane I suppose.

Quick meal before my flight. Food was better than what most would expect at an airport and the service was great. Friendly and efficient staff. Safe travels.

When I know I am going to be stranded for a while with almost no other option but to stay in the airport, I have one of 2 choices– get a few drinks, or find a place on the floor, take a nap, and start snoring until a gate attendant wakes you up– or both. In this case, I was able to do both. I don’t like drinking on weekdays when I know I have to be at work, but lets be honest– I had enough time to drink, sober up, and have a hangover before I got to work– it was that long of a layover! After walking to the dead end of the airport– near F14, I saw that at least there was a bar. It was close to noon, and the place looked empty. Not being familiar with Minnesota state law, I figured I would grab a seat and some drinks– as I said, I had nothing else better to do. I sat at the bar, and got served promptly. I stuck with beer on tap(they had a few selections, sad I can’t even remember what I had!) — I know they have 2 sizes– I stuck with the 20 oz ones. The beer was fresh tasting– like I could just sit there all day, and miss my flight, and just get drunk to the point I wouldn’t even be allowed to board if the opportunity presented itself. It was like fresh out of the brewery! Seems like that taste is hard to get these days. As I was scrolling through the Unilocal reviews, I saw some scathing reviews. Now, while I have witnessed some of these behaviors at other airport restaurants, I did not have any experiences like that. I ended up getting a food menu– which was basic bar food for an airport. I liked how this place has a main location in Downtown– and has been around since 1947. I am all for old school Irish pubs– I would live in one if I could. I ended up getting a French Dip– I told the server I am trying to work up a hunger(I mean, the fact I was going to be 12 hours late for work was kind of hard to settle on my stomach) — and downed 220s in a matter of minutes. The French dip came out fairly quickly. And I tell you what– it was a pretty mean sandwich! I mean, the bread was soft, there was a perfect amount of cheese, and the meat tasted good. After dipping it, I fell in love! I got fries for a side, they were decent, but I wasn’t in a fry mood(so why did I get them in the first place, dumbass?!). I washed it down with another beer. I knew I could keep drinking and drinking, but I stuck to a limit– I mean I didn’t want to be breaking the seal at 1 in the afternoon on a Monday– I mean let’s be honest– I only do that on vacation and off days. I got my check and called it good. I left a nice tip and she was very appreciative. She had told me how the traffic seemed to have died down, I didn’t know if it was from the previous reviews, or just traffic was down in general. I wish I had the answer for her, but I was just a drunk passing by. If I am ever in MSP again, I will be sure to come back here to swig a few back! I hope they can keep it up!

Stopped in here on a business trip because it was right next to my boarding gate and was impressed. I had a shock top and the beer battered fish and chips which was really good. If u want good pub food this is the place to go.

The food was fantastic. If you enjoy corned beef sandwiches this is the place to go. They make it fresh everyday and melts in your mouth. There is a bartender there, Jammer, who is extremely nice, welcoming, and makes everyone feel like they are customer of the day. The waitstaff are just as awesome. I will definitely stop again on my next time through the MSP Airport(gate F at the end).

A dump. A cesspool of filth, messiness and disorder. Poorly and horribly understaffed, this Irish Pub themed tavern puts its customers through the same hell as the Irish in Dublin in the ’60’s & ’70’s. Waitresses run hither skither to fill tabs while a lone bar attendant does what she can to keep up. The bar is a tornado mess of used glasses, dirty plates and bowls of half-eaten soup. Shame on the owners and managers of this garbage can mimicking an airport bar.

The service is competent and friendly. Brenda was straight forward and real. We ordered the Bleu Burger and the Mushroom Swiss. The burgers were excellent! The coleslaw was ok(but then, it’s COLESLAW) & the fries were average.

It took ~10-mins. from ordering to table for a bacon cheeseburger. Most of the time spent is waiting to get a table. The burger tasted fine(above par for airport, par for«real world»). Fries could have been crisper but that is a personal preference. $ 23 for Burger, 20-oz beer & tip.

Really disappointing bar. The waitress was unprofessional and could care less that I was a party on(1). I ordered several items only to have her come back and tell me they were out??? It was Sunday evening so I’m not sure what their restocking policy is none the less no excuse of being out of stock at an airport like this. Poor management!

The only menu item I have ordered is the walleye sandwich, and for someone who cannot buy walley where they are from, it is a great meal. I suggest you try it if you like fried fish.

Airport service doesn’t have to be bad. It doesn’t have to be slow. It’s a choice. Just like on where to eat/drink. If you’re in MSP terminal 1 /F Gates… go somewhere else. Sitting at the bar with two other people for 5 minutes while the bartender stood with her back to us, no acknowledgement, just taking her sweet ass time at the register. Finally got some wine and water and when I said I wanted to order food, she said«whoa hang on». 10 minutes later she meanders up and says«can I get you anything else?» I said«well ordering food would have been nice». She said«oh did you want something?» Seriously? So I gave two stars because the food when It came was good. But you’d have to work hard to be this damn aloof. Oh and my wine glass came with a set of lips from the lipstick of the prior patron. Nothing like kissing a stranger. At least she drank red.

A decent burger if you can overlook their long prep times for their food. The only qualm I had about my bacon burger was that the patty came cooked pretty well done when I asked for medium rare. Just be prepared to wait 30 – 50 minutes for okay food after you sit down and you should be good to go.

I was headed out of the gate right next to O’Gara’s on my way to Seattle, so I decided to avoid the hoi polloi and have a couple of beers with my buddy while we waited for our delayed flight. I had Summit and sat and spoke with the bartender, who was a real solid guy. Beers were kind of expensive, but what do you want? It is the airport. Food look great, but we about the beer on this occasion. Great atmosphere and being right by the gate is a huge plus fo announcements and the like.

On one hand, there is 100% more natural light in this airport spinoff than in the original, dank O’Gara’s. On the other hand, it’s not the original, dank O’Gara’s. Same food, smaller menu. Service here is friendly, food prices equivalent, booze prices airport highway robbery. Also, if your flight is departing out of F12, you are right next door. You can chill here and still hear all the announcements. Some space to plug in your appliances.
