This is truly a family owned and operated shop where you feel your business is appreciated. They are very knowledgeable about their products and can discuss them without the air of superiority that you get in a lot of the local chains. They are willing to spend time with you to ensure you get the bike that best fits you and your needs without feeling pressure to buy more bike than you really want.

This was years ago but I will never forget as it, as it was one of the best shows of real customer service I have ever experienced. My son was so elated that he got a new bike for his birthday, it was a big box store bike, a shiny new silver Huffy. Sadly it was stolen right from our front step the day after he got it. He was heartbroken and I knew I had to get him another. I had gotten a bike from what was Pioneer Schwinn years before that so I decided to check out kids bikes. The owner, knowing our story and me, a single Mom at the time, not having much money to spend, pointed me to the BEST deal in the whole store and even threw in a bike lock as part of the deal and took time to show my son how to use it. I specifically asked my husband to buy my next bike(Christmas present) from there and we will never buy a bike anywhere else. You know it’s good quality and people who care about people.

We live really close to this store so when our bikes needed to be tuned we thought we would give them a try. I’m glad we did. We have since taken our bikes there a couple more times for various fixes and issues over the past couple years. The staff is pretty friendly and they seem to know their stuff. The prices for service are decent too. You’ll spend anywhere from $ 40 — $ 80 for a bike tune and around $ 20 for a flat tire fix. Our bikes have always ran well after being tuned or fixed here so I’m happy.

Not happy with my one experience here. We like to frequent local stores so we came here with my 5 year old’s bike to get a tube for his rear tire. They sold us a replacement tire for $ 15. We picked the bike up on the way to the cabin. The next morning the tire was flat and my son hadn’t even ridden the bike yet. After our trip about 10 days later we brought the bike back to the store for a new tire and they wouldn’t refund the cost of the faulty used tire they sold us. The owner’s argument was that they don’t guarantee used items. Apparently they also don’t check to make sure what they are selling you isn’t crap either. The owner wouldn’t release the bike until we paid $ 45 for the new tire and labor. We’ll never go back to Pioneer again.

Terrible service. Brought 2 bikes in to be tuned up and minor repairs. Both took way to long and had worse problems after we picked them up. We were told we caused the problems. We didn’t receive calls telling us there would be extra charges. The staff stated they tried to call but couldn’t get through. Will never return here.

I got my Felt bike from Pioneer Cycle a couple of years ago. The only thing better than the great customer service is the excellent maintenance they provide for your bike after you purchase it.
