This is one of the best neighborhood coffee shops there is. No it doesn’t have the ambiance that a Spyhouse has, but it’s coffee is honestly better(my opinion). The service is superb, and the cold-press is well. second to none. PS: Order the Vanilla Cold Press, you won’t regret it!

I love this hidden gem! Their vanilla cold press is the reason I keep coming back. Smooth, but highly caffeinated. The vanilla adds a delicious flavor that tops other cold presses I’ve had. Lastly, it’s so cheap! $ 2.70 for their smallest size, which is a 12oz. I got a 12oz cold press at Peace coffee the other day and it was over $ 4.

Not an awful place but Precision Grind is a misleading name. This place is about as far from«precise» as you can get. If you like Starbucks this place will be fine, but if you like high quality good tasting coffee you’d be doing yourself a favor to go elsewhere. In the Seward neighborhood you can go to the Seward Co-op & get better coffee. If you’re willing to travel a mile or two you can go to Peace Coffee or Spyhouse, or for the absolute best(also less expensive and actually fresh and PRECISIONGROUND), The Angry Catfish Bicycle Shop and Coffee Bar.

I live really close to this café and I never fully appreciated it until I visited a friends neighborhood coffee shop(Nina’s in STP) I really enjoy the cold press coffee, probably the best I’ve ever had. Their atmosphere could be better, but I guess all I really need is an outlet, a wobble-free table and a good iced coffee. They have day old donuts in back for a dollar, you have to ask for them usually. The also have reasonable refill prices(on cold press). Bring headphones cause it gets really loud. I’ve had to take phone calls in the bathroom because the staff was hootin’ and hollerin’. I guess its good they enjoy their job and the customers, but their enthusiasm is distracting and sometimes rude. But still, 4 stars. Their cold press is really really good!

Food/Drink: Decent coffee. No real complaints here. Had a mocha and a half-caf(getting late in the day). They had some other cooler drinks, but I was happy with mine. There was plenty more on the menu, but I stuck with the simple. I didn’t get any food, but they did have a few different options and some of the freshly baked stuff(not sure if it was), almost got bought. Ambiance: It’s this combination of a little bit of bohemian with a little bit of warehouse. The coffee bar is great to sit at, but only a few group tables. The music area is occupied by two lounge chairs and there’s booth seating in the front window area. Overall, I thought it was good and fits in the general neighborhood well. Service: No problems, and definitely low key and stress free. I was there for a few hours and never felt pressured to move on or order something else(even though I did, because it just makes sense). Tables were clean as was the sugar, creamer area. Overall: This is tricky. I’m biased towards independent coffee shops and I know how hard it is to A) break into the business and B) stay in business. Though these aren’t technically my worries as a customer I like to think I’ve got to do my part. That being said, this place is absolutely a place I would go to if I didn’t want to «see and be seen» and just wanted to work and chill out. The coffee is good fuel for some of my most productive sessions.

There’s not a ton of seating and it’s kind of pricey but they have almond milk available(a nice soy free vegan alternative!) and lots of tea options. The staff are pretty amiable but they occasionally have live music, so if that’s not what you’re looking for(ie. If you need to study, or have a quite coffee date) you might want to check in advance. Limited street parking around unless you park off Franklin.

This is my favorite spot in the world to loiter. I pretty much lived here in college and was recognized years later by the baristas. Not sure if there were happy to see me or thought the lurker was coming back to hog a table all day. Nonetheless, I was happy to be back. They make an awesome miel or mocha. Internet is pretty good and music selection would be approved by most Brooklynites.

I didn’t realize until I picked up a punchcard that Second Moon had changed hands and now is Precision Grind. I don’t get out to Seward as much as I should so it has been a while, but it looks unchanged to me and the thai latte I got was really good, not overly sweet, and smooth. Music playing is piano-y sax-y light jazz, which is not my thing, but it’s on low enough that it’s just white noise you can tune out. Didn’t have a hard time finding an outlet so that’s another plus, A nice no frills coffee shop hangout.

What a cute coffee shop! The drinks are delicious and made to look like art. Great service. Love the atmosphere. Plenty of room to work and visit. I love the rotating artwork and music that plays inside. I wish they had a better food selection.

Awesome little place. Great music, sometimes live, solid assortment of drink choices, cozy corners, and vanilla cold press that is to die for.

A nice and small neighborhood coffee shop with a helpful and smiling service person behind the counter. Nice tea selection, plus all the usual coffee stuff. Very much the college crowd(and plenty of ‘deep’ conversations to eavesdrop on if you’re into that kind of thing). Not too big, and it can get crowded in there sometimes(even late on a Sunday afternoon while I’m there whiling away an hour while my child is at soccer practice over at nearby Augsburg).
