Bad customer service. The place looks good and all but don’t let that fool you. This is the second time they got my orders wrong and it took them years to get my food ready. They didn’t even apologize for how bad they were treating me and most of their guests who were having the same issues. I love my Somali food but I’ll find something else for now…

I love their food. The rice is sooooo good. The goat meat is perfectly spiced. I don’t get to visit them much because I hate driving around that area(traffic too busy). The lunch portion is $ 11 and comes with a drink and banana. I like the jalapeño hot sauce that comes with the meal. It’s true that they kind of ignore you, but just hang out and they’ll eventually get to you. Trust me, the food is worth it.

After trying what I think it all of the major Somali restaurants in the Twin Cites, I have to say that Qoraxlow is my favorite. The prices are lower, and the quality of the food is higher. Some of my Somali friends brought me here my first time, and we sampled a good portion of the food. I like the simplicity of the meats. The chicken was my favorite. The rice is magical. It is the most flavorful rice I’ve ever had. My friend showed me how she eats it, with a a chopped up banana, and it was delicious. I have to eat the rice like this now. I got the spaghetti, just to try it, but I didn’t really care for it. Things to know: –The seating is separated by single men and families. Men and women can sit together in the family section, but men can’t sit there alone. Women shouldn’t sit in the single men’s section. They don’t really expect non-Somali people to know the rules, but it’s polite to try and stick to this. –The pitchers of drink are sweet but kind of addicting. I’d say that Qoraxlow is the least-approachable Somali restaurant in Minneapolis, but it’s clean and the waiter was friendly. And the food is worth it. Our feast for 3 people was around 20 bucks.
