We were in town visiting family for the holidays. There’s not much to do in the immediate area (other than drive through town and maybe visit the IPA), so when we heard about Rock City, we were all over it.
And Rock City is pretty cool. Yes, it’s a bunch of rocks in a field. Yes, about all you can do is climb on the rocks and take photos. This seemed like a riot for all the young kids who where there, and it was a pretty good time for us, too.
We returned to the family home and regaled the locals with the story of our trip to Rock City. None of them had ever visited, and thought that we were nuts for wanting to see the rocks. They don’t know what they’re missing.

Rock City is pretty freaking awesome if you LOVE ROCKS (like I do). You can climb all over these amazing ginormous rocks, have a picnic, wander around and then climb some rocks some more because CLIMBIN’ ROCKS = BOSS.
It’s hard to get to (we got TRAGICALLY LOST), but so beautiful and cool.
Take bug spray or prepare to be eaten alive.
