Unfortunately, I hastily got a groupon without reading the review. I absolutely agree with the previous reviewer — it is not easy to secure an appointment — the number is always redirected to voicemail which makes it difficult to make any changes to our appointment. I was a little skeptical after reading all the reviews, but was not prepared for such a bad experience — its almost like interacting with Red from OITNB. Thank you for the refund groupon!

Are you kidding? You called a lawyer because you didn’t like your stylist’s personality? LOL. I can’t imagine having that kind of anger. Or that much time on my hands.
Anyway, I LOVE Irina and have been getting my hair cut, colored, and highlighted by her every 5 weeks for years. And I drive all the way from the western suburbs to see her.
She’s FUNNY. She’s Russian. She’s got a dry sense of humor I love. But more than this, she is an artist. She knows her products; she used the least toxic ingredients on the market; and she’ll tell you what will and won’t look good on you.
This isn’t because she’s insensitive. It’s because she knows her craft. I once asked her if she thought a style I liked would look good on me. Without blinking an eye, said no. I was a little taken aback, but mostly, I was intrigued. When I asked her why not, she blew me away. «Because your face is long, and if you wear the sides longer, it will not look good.» I laughed.
She was absolutely right. And she could articulate the problem in a way I couldn’t have. I have a degree in design, so I’m a perfectionist when it comes to aesthetics. I know what I like and what I don’t. And I appreciate it when someone with expertise in any field demonstrates this kind of knowledge of their craft.
If you’re looking for someone who is all sunshine and lollipops, then I agree with you.
You won’t like Irina’s personality. In that case, find out who’s doing R.S.‘s hair and go to that person.
But if you’re looking for great hair, and you appreciate the freshness of honesty – and don’t freak out if someone says something you don’t like, you’ll love Irina. She’s a character, that’s true. And I love having her in my life.

Terrible experience. never answered the phone/​return calls. very rude service. if you purchased by the groupon– no windows for the next few weeks.
