Creative flavor combinations that are ridiculously tasty. The owner was an awesome guy and obviously has a lot of passion for what he’s doing — well done dude! I’m glad I stopped by and will be back again.

My friend and I had a lovely visit to this shop as part of her«research» on the establishment for her marketing project. From our prior knowledge from word of mouth and a few pieces in newspapers, we expected an enthusiastic owner and delicious doughnut; we were not disappointed. The owner welcomed us as we stepped into the store front, greeting us and inquiring if we were first-time customers. After we confirmed we were new, he gave us a genial introduction to each creatively named pastry. My friend tried the Reese’s PB cup, while I ordered the nutter butters(I regret that neither of us remember the clever names). We both enjoyed the rich, not-too-sweet dough of the doughnuts and the perfect layer of glaze. Upon returning home, my friend stated her admiration for the owner’s ability to interact with the many customers with ease– college-aged women(us), an older gentleman, and a man with his young son– all while appearing authentic and«un-scripted». While we did not«dine in», the ambiance was inviting and comfortable. Would highly recommend for a $ 3 treat with friends.

I wanted to love Sssdude-nutz. I really did. Especially with a name like that; they better have good«nutz». Anything to detract attention away from that horrid Glam Doll I am all for… but I just couldn’t. The flavor is what did me in. And yes, I mean that in the singular sense. The assortment was intriguing and *sounded* delicious but upon trying 3 different flavors I honestly couldn’t tell difference. Rather, my tongue couldn’t tell the difference. My eyes could. They all tasted the same! How could it be? I have no idea. One Unilocaler had mentioned that it was kind of doughy and tasted of cinnamon. That’s sounds about right. Now, I love dough… and cinnamon… so I’ll say that it wasn’t bad tasting, it just wasn’t…right. Especially with that price tag. On that note, when my boyfriend went in to order the donuts he did note that [whom he believed was the owner] was super friendly and he seemed really proud of his shop, so that’s nice. I would just encourage them to tweak their dough recipe a bit so that that strong base flavor doesn’t dominate the whole piece leaving you confused and wondering what you just ate and why they all taste the same.

Super cool doughnut shop but the doughnuts are a different story. Firstly the pros, I love how they take orders or communicate via text! The shop was modern and clean when we visited :) The owner of Sssdude-Nutz greeted us immediately and was SUPER easy to converse with not to mention helpful with the menu. The doughnuts were quite pricey so thats a downer. On to the taste of the doughnuts, it was not appetizing at all, when I bit into it, the doughnut tasted gooey(uncooked) and just like cinnamon and flour(very bland). Couldn’t even finish it. Kinda disappointed, was hoping this would be one of my go to doughnut shops.

From my daughter(doughnut expert) «yummy, delicious doughnuts, the aroma of doughnuts is only topped by the incredible flavor! The variety of flavors will ensure they have something for everybody! And the stickers are awesome too!»

The more I explore donut shops in the Twin Cities, the more I’m impressed with what I find and Sssdude-Nutz isn’t an exception. The owner of this shop, Bradley, is friendly, chatty and the perfect host. During a recent visit, we had the opportunity to listen to him happily describe the selection of donuts to each visitor. Sssdude-Nutz donuts are glazed, sticky, sugary and everything you want in a fresh donut. The flavors pop and Bradley is quick to point out his ‘top 5 picks’ in addition to special donuts. We tried the ‘O Heck Yeah’ donut with chocolate and salted caramel and a specialty called the ‘Basic B’ which included a bailey’s glaze. The shop is open in mornings and late night. It features a ‘Wall of Ignorance’ filled nightly with late-night polaroids — and a chalk wall for visitors to sign. The place is as colorful, chill and fun as Bradley himself. The coffee here is just ‘coffee’. Nothing special.

Overall, a great experience. They have a great location and the perfect atmosphere for Minneapolis. The owner(who I have been helped by every time I have gone there) is personal, funny, and professional. Their prices are good for the substantial donuts that you get and they have a wide variety of both traditional and quirky flavors. The only reason I give 4 stars is that their bread/dough is a little chewy. They’re still great donuts, but I think they could be improved.

Donuts are tasty and have a lot of intriguing options. Horrible name for the business. Lucky I gave them a try, because the name is a huge turn off. The place has a friendly environment but 3 $ is ridiculous price for a donut if you as me, no matter how decadent and tasty they are.

Do you guys know how excited I was to find out there was a new donut shop opening? Like, I almost wept. And I made sure I went the first day. Donuts are a need, not a want. The spot is cute and small. All the donuts have super fun names! And they are square. I fell in love because they guy behind the counter(owner? Idk) was friendly and helpful and enthusiastic. And the fun names, like the Gay 90s donut. I got the Girls Love Beyonce, which is cherry amaretto. It was delightful, and the frosting was perfect. Downside– no bismarks. I love me a filled donut. All donuts were $ 3, but if you got a dozen, they were $ 2 each! I can’t wait to come back and try them all.
