Went in for a bleach on top of my already bleached hair. The stylest ruined my hair. She used a 40 volume developer, put my hair foils, and put me under the heat for 40 minutes. Every stylist knows on already bleached hair, NEVER use more than a 20 volume developer(unless using Olaplex… and NEVER put under high heat for more than 20 mins. My hair started falling out and she knew something went wrong but played it cool. She quickly rushed blow dryer process and told me to condition my hair when I get home. She charged me $ 90 to have my hair fall out.

I went in to lighten my hair. All they did was foil and toner. My black roots are still showing. They were too busy with other customers too. I dont recommend going back.

The owner, Thi, is great with women’s haircuts! I’ve been getting my hair done here for years. The only downside is the wait time. Expect to wait 1+ hrs to get your hair done(and this is with prior appt). Pros: Beautiful haircut Inexpensive Free parking Cons: Long wait time

Chi T is an amazing stylist. I always go to her when I have an event to go to and get an outstanding updos from her! Gosh her salon has been around for such a long time from what I can remember like when I was even 12 years old. She’s very cute!!!

For nearly two decades, I have gotten my hair cut at T Style. Across from Lu’s Sandwich on Nicollet, T Style caters to all folk around the Twin Cities, especially Vietnamese, Koreans, Chinese, and Filipinos. I grew up in this salon, which means that I suffered spending countless Saturday afternoons listening to ear-bleeding Vietnamese music being blasted from the TV, constantly smelling hair spray, seeing little kids in diapers running around everywhere, and hearing stylists gossiping about everything under the sun. Now, I’m a grown man. Yet, I still get my hair cut there(although it’s a drastically different style than my traditional childhood bowl-cut) and have had awful experiences getting service done anywhere else. Like most people, when I get my haircut, I want it done right. And when I do get my hair cut, it’s done on the weekdays because the weekends are absolutely terrible. Like, I would consider the crowds Minnesota State Fair better than the weekend crowd at T Style. On the weekdays, the doors shut around 7 – 8(depending on whether customers come in), so it’s great for after work. Seriously, go on the weekdays. You have been warned. For a haircut and a pre and post-haircut wash, it costs me only $ 15. I usually throw in a $ 5 tip though, because I’m usually satisfied with how I look. The stylists do an excellent job listening to the customers and make them feel great. Now, although I think T Style provides excellent service, staff there could definitely improve on keeping true to appointments. Many people I know have complained that T Style did not honor their appointments. I know my mom has waited a couple hours past her appointment. That’s frustrating, especially for folks that are busy. If you want an affordable and great cut, T Style is the place to go.
