Tarnish & Gold was one of my favorite stops during Art-A-Whirl. In part for the Scott Seekins sightings(both on the walls via his art and in-person, wearing his summer whites), but for other things too. I had been inside their old location on Marshall, but this one is very different in that it’s like walking into a little cottage full of art. This Foundry Building space is small, so it would be hard to imagine a busy gallery opening here without them using any outside space. But lucky, for them… there is a really cute attached courtyard with the loveliest mural painted on the fence. Their schtick for the Art-A-Whirl show was BUYART, so every piece was priced under $ 100. I thought that was pretty cool. They also had a jewelry trunk show recently that I was sorry to miss and anytime I’ve peeked at their calendar they seem to have something in the wings that interests me. I’m already looking forward to coming back for another event!
