A stone’s throw from my friend’s apartment (or crawling distance… take your pick), we headed here for a red cross Haiti benefit. Nothing like getting drunk for a good cause! We found the staff to be extremely awesome and fun to talk to, but the décor and menu are a bit lacking, hence the three stars. Like most new restaurants, I think 3 Monkeys is really trying to find it’s voice/​niche/​definition, and like an awkward teenager, will probably fumble their way there eventually. I hope they get it right, because their staff is truly awesome, and we could use more non-​pretentious watering holes on Eat Street. If they step their game up a bit, they might have a shot.
