I come here all the time, love everything I have ever had here. Currently I am in love with the Cuban Sandwich.

$ 8 for a grilled cheese sandwich??? The Cheese was not melted and they forgot the tomatoes. When I complained they gave me a $ 5 credit– so I still had to pay $ 3 for my replacement sandwich… Won’t be going back

What a disappointing meal. Waitress waited on everyone but me. Waited 15 minutes before I got looked at. Others had already come in and placed there order before I even got water. Food is just mediocre. This will be my last time here. Service and food just not worth it.

We eat here a lot. They have great pizza and breakfast on Saturdays. As for dessert, the malts and milkshakes are yummy. I would steer clear of their other desserts though. I only gave 4 stars because the quality of service is inconsistent.

We’ve given this place the benefit of the doubt. Tonight was the last time I’ll ever go to TJ’s. waitress was horrible very unfriendly didn’t bring waters to the table when we had a discrepancy on our check and I called her out on it she got snooty… just not a very well-run establishment and the beer tastes like the lines haven’t been cleaned in 30 years

In this eatery, there is a sign that hangs above the kitchen window that reads«price, quality, service, pick any two» which didn’t inspire much confidence. As a group of three we didn’t have trouble seating ourselves amongst the other Saturday night patrons. Immediately we were struck by the realization that the majority of people around us were over the age of 55. Within 2 minutes we had our drink orders, after my dinner salad(from a bag) showed up I sat for 10 minutes with a dirty fork waiting for service. The fish and chips was so fried that it had the structural rigidity of a battle ship. All in all: the sign above the window is wrong, you can only pick price. This was a meal that I probably could have made at home and should have.

Don’t know about lunch or dinner, but TJ’s does a very good breakfast if you’re into good old-fashioned comfort food generously laced with butter. Perhaps not good for the arteries but certainly good for the soul. Very good value, feels fairly homemade, and the service is good. For Edina, better quality than Perkins, better prices than Original Pancake House.

When my Unilocal friend, Dennis F., recommended we have lunch at TJ’s, I totally was game for it. Not only to have lunch with a friend, but to try a place you’ve never been before and can write a review about it, well, it doesn’t get much better than that, does it? I’ve lived in this area for over 16+ years, and apparently was the only one who didn’t know about this neighborhood gem. It located off the beaten path, which is probably why I haven’t been here. The menu has a Mediterranean influence, due to the owner, but has lots of variety. I had a cup of chicken noodle soup and the Buffalo Chicken salad, while Dennis had a club sandwich. The soup was homemade, so that scored big points with me. The portions are huge! You get a lot of food for your money without breaking the bank. And it was tasty, too! Dennis had to bring part of his sandwich home because he’s not a bottomless pit like me. On the way out, Dennis introduced me to the owner, A very nice man who stopped by many tables because it was obvious people come here not only for the food, but because of him. If you’re into desserts, there’s quite a selection at the front of the store. I always try to support local businesses, especially when you want them to be successful. I’ll be back to try out some of the other menu items. I’m sure the gyro and pizzas must be good. Thanks for the tip, Dennis!

Absolutely love visiting TJ’s! Their malts are really good. Lots to choose from but pizza and burgers are great. Owner Mo is always helpful and super nice. I recommend going over there for lunch or dinner!

We used to love this place. had been going since 2000. but over the years they have gone down in quality and up in price. Look at the photos I posted of their french Dip. I really used to enjoy their french dip(as well as their spicy chic fett.) but look how little meat and cheese is on it!!! shameful. and bland too. they used to be so good.

TJ’s is a gem of a place that I ignored completely for far too long thinking that it wasn’t going to be anything special. And that’s the thing… it’s really not anything special, but that’s the charm! The food here is really solidly good. It isn’t fancy, but straightforward traditional diner food with Greek options. The pizza(both the flatbread and the traditional) was surprisingly good. The gyros were really flavorful and the salads are always put together really well.(Is that a weird description of a salad???) Moreover, the service is always with a smile. And it’s a genuine smile! I really like this place and I’m glad that the understated stripmall-ness didn’t keep me away forever.

seems to be a family owned/run restaurant, and food was pretty good and cheap… wide selection of different types of food on the menu. interior decorating was kind of scary, clearly not by a professional… and as a graphic designer i’d like to re-design their menu… the one bad thing about this place was the beer was from the keg only and tasted kind of skunky or something… i will surely be eating here again!

Eating at TJ’s is a sentimental experience for me because it is the«go to» place for nearly every get-together I have with a good friend of mine. Still, I feel TJ’s holds its own without sentimentality contributing to my rating. This place seems to have slowed down a bit in terms of business because there is always a plethora of tables to choose from at lunchtime. Maybe because it’s in an awkward area between Edina’s residential and«industrial» neighborhoods? Either way, I’m not complaining because it means that the service there is always fast and attentive, and I never fail at finding a coupon to use for a meal. The restaurant’s menu is fairly expansive, but their gyro pizza is truly the best. If you have an extra $ 1.50 and are willing to wait a half hour longer, be sure to «upgrade» to deep dish — simply delicious. The prices are very reasonable. As an example, with a coupon, my friend and I got a hearty Greek salad and a large, deep dish gyro pizza for just over $ 20, enough to fill two hungry twenty-somethings with a half a pizza to spare. The restaurant environment is interesting. The only windows are by the entrance, so it feels dimly lit throughout. Also, with a TV playing softly in the corner, it feels like a mix between a casual family restaurant and a low-key sports bar… without the bar. All in all, TJ’s is certainly worth checking out. Bring a coupon, though, because… well, it really isn’t that hard to find one so you might as well save yourself a couple of bucks.

I really like TJ’s. It’s a nice restaurant with truly good servers, great food, very good prices, and it never takes itself too seriously. It’s in a goofy little area though. Tucked away in a strip mall that is hidden in an industrial area. Because of that, it does crazy business during lunch. You would think that would mean long waits and terrible service at lunch, causing you to be late going back to work. You would think wrong. The menu here is absolutely huge! Yet somehow doesn’t overwhelm. Maybe it’s beacause the menu actually makes sense, maybe it’s because no matter what you choose it will be good. Seriously, no matter what you choose, it will be good. Here are the things I’ve had there on multiple trips. Remeber, no matter what you choose it will be good. Gyro — Love on a pita. Thick cut flavorful meat instead of the thin cut blandness you get at other places. Chicken Wings — Lightly breaded and crispy. Did you hear that BW3? CRISPY! Burgers — Cooked how you want them and DIE-licious. Pizza — pick one, you’ll like it. Ruben — Uh huh! Onion Rings — This is how you do it, do it, do it. Breakfast — Yummmmmmm Have kids? Go here. Seriously. Go here. My son gets the spaghetti. $ 4.25 for an adult sized serving of spaghetti. Plus, it’s actually pretty good. Great family restaurant that does it right. Every time. Ok, ok, ok TJ’s. You get 5 stars.

Nice little local place in Edina with incredibly low prices. I’ve been going here on and off again for some ten years-usually after a playing at Braemar Golf. I’ve always been happy with TJ’s. The food is never disappointing, and the service is great. Their desserts, soda fountain beverages, and especially their cake(!) have always been favorites since I was in HS. They, also, always seem to get the food out fast, while retaining some form of quality. A lot of places get this wrong. The food’s out fast, but what about the quality? If I wanted fast food, I’d go to BK. On my latest visit(10⁄22), I used a happenings coupon, which was about to expire. The two waitresses, who both served me, were nice; although, I was confused as to who my actual server was. No one ever clarified. It was kinda weird, but I wasn’t worried about it. I got the BBQ cheeseburger, and it was delicious. I’m usually blasé’ about burgers, but not this time. The meat was very fresh, as well. In addition, the bathrooms were clean, as was the entire place from what I could tell. I like to give things a one-over when I’m there. It tells me if they give a crap. The little things make all the difference in restaurants. TJ’s still gets that.

I just started a new gig in the Centennial Lakes office park, and rather than visit one of the slew of restaurants at Galleria or Southdale, I opted for a quaint little joint called TJ’s. It definitely has the family-run vibe, and there is an air of friendliness and familiarity upon walking in to the restaurant. If you’re looking for a quick lunch option — while still dining in — this is a great option. I had the greek salad with gyro meat added, and my hombre ordered up the steak sandwich. My salad was definitively above average, though not outstanding. My pal said the same about his sandwich. I tried a couple of his French fries — again, good, but not great. Nothing really distinct about the flavor of the fries. Perhaps next time I will try one of their Daily Specials or the pizza, as that seems to be their calling card. The prices are very reasonable — you can easily get out of there with $ 10 spent.

It was a lazy Sunday afternoon and my wife and I decided to use a 2 for 1 coupon at TJs for lunch. We had been about 10 years ago and it was nice, but this trip was great. We were promptly seated to a booth in the very full restaurant. The menu was huge, tons of options. Sandwiches, gyros, pasta, pizza. You name it, they have it. I started off with a Diet Coke. My wife got a personal chicken pizza with no cheese. It could have used a little more sauce she said, but pretty good. She also got a salad with light ranch. I tried the ranch and it was perfectly tangy. I ordered the Gyros plus. Basically a huge gyro with a side Greek salad. After about ten minutes, a wonderful Greek salad arrived with a Gyro so large I couldn’t fold it up, so I ate it like a pizza with a knife and fork. Lots of spicy lamb meat made with a lot of vegetables and not too much yogurt sauce made this gyro an A! With the coupon all this came to only $ 13. Another plus, extremely affordable. Great service and family owned, I really liked TJs.

A little surprise around the corner. I didn’t expect much from this modest little diner. But the array of Greek and American food was quite impressive(and the place was packed!) I loved the Greek salad I got… very authentic. The atmosphere was a fun and lunch appropriate. Check it out!
