Internet speeds are consistent and FAST. what a pleasure to have the customer service rep tell you, you don’t need faster service! And, rates stay the same. We are unplugged from cable and satellite and loving every minute.

I’ve been with USI’s «50MB» fiber service for over a year. Yes, the customer service is very responsive, professional, effective and friendly. This is the reason that I’m rating USI above 1 star. The issue is that I’m actually using my personal cellular hotspot as I type this review. The speed performance is so unreliable that this has become typical. In addition, it’s very apparent that USI has not invested in the necessary equipment to handle increased usage in the evenings… Data speeds drop significantly after 5pm when people start getting home. I’ve written and called USI several times with this feedback, but no improvement(tho always a pleasant and timely response). In fact, if I didn’t want to stream movies, I would drop USI and simply use my cellular data plan… It’s much more reliable and faster. What makes my experience even worse is that when I have taken the time to call USI, my internet speed magically improves for a couple days. But it always reverts. If I had another option at the same(or even higher) price point for true 50MB service, I would switch to it!

When I called USI customer service because my internet connection was slow Scott helped me isolate the problem and then KEPT helping me even after we discovered the problem was with my router and not with the USI connection or equipment. This was the first time I had called customer service for my USI fiber connection and it’s reassuring to know that there are helpful people like Scott on the other end of the phone whenever I need them!

Made the switch from CenturyLink today and I couldn’t be happier. More than twice as many Mbps(couldn’t tell you what that means though) for half the price and excellent customer service. I’m sure anyone who has had CenturyLink knows that their customer service strategy is based on tricking customers into paying extra all the time, and it was so refreshing to have all the costs laid out clearly with no hidden fees, surprise extra charges, or confusing contracts. We will even be able to use our existing router with the new service. Hasn’t been activated yet so I can’t speak to the quality of the service, but honestly anything will be better than what we have now. The representative I spoke with, Brenda, on the phone was incredibly helpful and nice and answered all my non-tech-savvy questions in a way that I could understand them. It was such a breath of fresh air.

Called in to get internet service. It took me less than 10 minutes to order 25MB or Internet Service via US Internet’s Fiber to the Home service. Thanks for making my set up so easy Amanda C. GT
