This place has such potential, but the staff is completely inept; not sure if they truly don’t give a damn or it’s just lack of training. Messed up and forgotten orders have become commonplace. And around 3pm M-F it becomes a complete shit-show because they’re understaffed for the 30 – 40 people that arrive from the school next door.

Mixed feelings. First, I appreciate everything the wedge table is trying to do and what they stand for, but the food could use a boost of flavor. The burritos are bland – something, if done correctly, they could have people lined up out the door for in that neighborhood. Baked goods are unmemorable and a chai latte I once had seemed to be just a warm glass of plain soy milk. That said, the place is clean and there’s always a place at a «table» for you. Also, nice spot to pick up staple groceries.

I am here weekly. I am writing this review because I want this place to succeed! But right now it is weird– trying to do too much and not doing it great? First of all, convienent quick lunch spots are fantastic. This should be quick — but the weird layout of the grocery store and the non-intuitive ordering system creates back ups. Waiting in line twice — once to order, once to pay, then waiting for food makes this quick lunch a long lunch. It seems the grocery store is not a hit? The grocery store register is permanantly closed — its time to fix the aisle layout, the strange pinch points of ordering line and paying lines intersecting. Secondly, inconsistent food and service. There are too many options in the neighborhood. Not just anyone should and can make the drinks/food. Please have a consistent barista/juicer and cook! I had the worst chai of my life today — and the juice i ordered and the juice I got were not the same at all. Jillians juice has beets and oranges — my juice was light green and tasted like cucumbers and ginger. I want this place to work– better food, more consistency, and an improved layout will do a lot for the future of this place.

If you wanna feel good about what you just ate, try this place for lunch. Vegans and meat lovers can stand united with their wide selection of fresh menu items like burritos and salads. Browse their small but plentiful grocery aisles while you wait.

I had a board meeting here so I grabbed some snacks(baba ganoush, sesame crackers and almonds) and a Bauhaus. It’s so beautifully designed with a bunch of chairs and tables for eating and a huge community space. There’s a deli spot as well as drinks and breads so the selection is what I’d expect from a small co-op. I don’t shop at the wedge so having no reference this place is definitely speedier than your average grocer but it also has more specialty items. One of the things I found and love is the selection of roasted almonds with a variety of spices. Anytime I can get state fair esq. food I’m down. Their happy hour is pretty sweet with $ 1 off beer and house wine so my beer was $ 3! That’s almost as good as sweeneys $ 2.50 summits. I’ll take it There was only one person working the register and juice bar so it took a while, but I was taking the space in so I didn’t mind. It would get hectic though during lunch so I hope they schedule staff accordingly. The community room is awesome. You feel like you’re in a fish bowl with the glass garage doors but it’s fairly soundproof. There’s a TV and HDMI hookup but no instructions for it and no converter if you have an apple computer. Bit of a bummer. All in all though it’s a great space and I’m excited to go back.

It was my 1st time in Minneapolis and I liked the service, food and location. I’m a long-time vegan and was dining with non-vegans. There were options for everyone. I also liked the outdoor seating.

Excellent vegetarian friendly cafeteria food in a contemporary setting. Order the ready made foods in the warmer. Not a lot of choice sometimes, but they’re good at varying the menu day by day. It’s delicious and a serving runs you only about five bucks! Also nice to be able to pick up basic coop groceries in the same spot.

Breakfast food was terrible. Had to interrupt the three people«working» at the counter comparing tattoos and piercings in order to get served. Cold, over cooked egg scramble thing was awful, just as Wedge hot food has always been known for. I agree that there are far better choices for food on this very street. The store was mostly convenience products and very little fresh food. Isn’t this neighborhood deserving of something better?

Disappointed. I have not been a fan of Wedge’s prepared foods but thought this place, now a separate café, might change that. As a regular shopper at Wedge and an owner-member, I wanted to check out this place. The ambiance is bright, spacious and there is a nice selection of beverages from kombucha to cocktails. For food they have entrees, salads, soups, desserts. There’s also a small selection of fruits and canned soups and snacks etc. Service was great — friendly and welcoming. It’s fine as another café offering soups and salads. There’s polenta in the entrees, curried tofu soup, and miso ponzu salmon salad — as a break from standard fare. I had the tuna salad Niçoise and it was ok. The potatoes were undercooked and the dressing overpowered the greens. There isn’t anything special to make me choose this café over the other available choices in the neighborhood.

Really good premade sandwiches and salads. Wonderful to get your sweet tooth fixed. Also made to order burrito and Panini. The fact that you can grab juice and bread while you’re there makes stopping for lunch very convenient. The best part about the table is the staff. Always smiling, always helpful, always fast.

It’s getting better! I think it’s an awesome feature the Wedge Table offers community classes and space to gather — the amount of seating for the casual conversation is unreal. Also, the pastries, desserts and cookies are a feast for the eyes and stomach. I have to restrain myself by not even looking in that direction. AND I am working on the ordering. If you want a chocolate banana smoothie — ask for a banana smoothie made with chocolate soft serve. Also, ask for your smoothie to be made thick because their smoothies tend to be on the runny side.

First visit here. Limited grocery selection and some how possibly more expensive than the original wedge? I got a. Half gallon of new mans lemon aid, a French batard, gum, spring water, a vegan lemon poppy seed cupcake and a slice of blueberry pie, and two Mendota sparkling waters for under twenty. This blueberry pie– HOLY F&@$!!! Excellent. LP cupcake– meh watever, great frosting though. Btw it’s 3&½ stars…

We came here to 1. Eat and 2. Work using the free internet connection. The food was great(chicken burrito), but the internet connection doesn’t work on two different peoples’ devices, and the staff offered 0 help. What a waste of time.

Well I wanted to like this place, cute idea… Everything on the menu sounds good, had a bad burrito last week and figured maybe it was just a bad day Came back to try the Acai bowl because I had an amazing one in San Diego and I haven’t been able to find any really in Minnesota… And yeah their $ 7 bowl made me sick to my stomach, runny, soupy and gross. Didn’t finish the entire bowl and it won’t stay in your stomach long. Ick I’ll post a picture.

This iteration of the Wedge is a nice addition to the Wittier neighborhood. Clean and bright, the ambiance is very refreshing. The selection of organic products is a bit hit and miss. What they have in stock is pretty good but there are lots of things missing including many holes in the produce department. I bought some ingredients to take home for dinner and my modest selections ran me almost twenty dollars. For that price I could walk one block in either direction and get a full meal out with a beverage. Overall, it is a nice coop that is WAYTOO expensive for what you get.

What a wonderful addition to the Whittier neighborhood! If lived nearby, I’d be here all the effing time. I love being able to grab a few grocery items(including organic produce), a healthy dinner, a cocktail(yes, I heard they even have a vodka cocktail!), or vegan dessert — all in one cute, clean, minimal space. Your co-op membership even has advantages here. What more do you need? Oh yeah… I need one in my neighborhood.

Welcome to the Whittier Neighborhood, Wedge Table! I shop at the co-op almost every week, so I was elated to hear that a café would open on Eat Street. After reading the great reviews, I had to check it out for myself! Compared to the co-op, Wedge Table essentially took the juice/smoothie/coffee bar, bakery, and deli sections, and made all of them more robust.(Cleaner displays, seating at the bar, more of everything etc…) They also added shelves of snacks — something that you would expect at a café — and even toiletries.(I bought some interesting toothpaste for a little over five bucks there.) Perhaps their greatest feature at Wedge Table, in my opinion is the spacious seating area that also includes a conference room(with TV). I saw that they offer community classes, so I’m assuming that’s what the room is usually used for. Thanks, Wedge Table! Regarding the actual food and drink there, they menus are pretty much the same. I ordered two coconut soft serve smoothies(a cold press and Elvis for my girlfriend and me), and it took about fifteen minutes. As the only person that ordered, I think they could refine the smoothie-making process to make it more efficient. They still taste delicious as ever, though. I also got their turkey and Brie Panini, and it was just OK. The bread was toasted a bit too much. Hopefully, it was an anomaly. I’ll definitely return to the Wedge Table in the future, however, I do prefer the co-op. :)

Awesome spot and really unique for this neighborhood. I got a carnitas burrito which was delicious and option of coming with a fruit(Fuji apple!). They don’t allow substitutions(there are 5 – 6 choices) which is not a big deal for me but might annoy some. It’s not as inexpensive as chipotle but quality ingredients from large chunks of avocado to the deliciously chewy tortilla. The grocery section looks small, but actually has a huge variety and mostly things that I would be interested in. Priced similarly to the Wedge Co-op. Props for having one of my favorite cheese(Sartori Monteamori– love at first bite). They also have a nice sit down area for hanging out for coffee, food, and free wifi. There were a good mix of people and definitely chill vibe. I could see myself coming here at all hours of the day(7AM– 10PM!) to study or catch up with friends.

I live two blocks away and literally couldn’t be happier about Wedge Table. I think I’ll find a reason to stop in almost every day. Their small selection of groceries is(1), not that small, and(2), something like a grocery store greatest hits list. It includes most of the stuff that I buy all the time. The selection of prepared foods is amazing! A burrito bar, salads, something like a dozen hot foods, and a bunch of pre-packaged stuff to go. And… The baked goods looked amazing. And they have coffee, wine and beer. I might move in. Also, the space is beautiful. It’s a much more relaxed experience than the bustling Big Wedge.

If you’re like me and you’ve always wanted to go on a date, have a drink, and grab a few groceries all in one go, you’re in luck because the sky above has delivered. Folks, the heavens removed a small Chinese grocery store and replaced it with something different… Imagine a vigorous Whole Foods sperm swimming towards the egg that is the Wedge Co-Op. And what do you have? A cute and bubbly Wedge Table that will someday take over the Whittier neighborhood. WT is blessed with a well-rounded yet expansive personality: * a colorful fruit and vegetable section front-and-center * a small grocery and freezer section(dairy, deli meats, frozen meals, ice cream) * a cute bakery that features fresh bread and the Wedge’s best desserts * a burrito bar * a sandwich station(5 – 6 options, $ 7 – 10) * prepared sandwiches, salads, cheese and cracker trays($ 3 – 7), in case you really have to get in and out quickly :) * breakfast options(like yogurt, oatmeal, and egg sandwiches) * warm deli items, like chicken tikka masala and soup * non-dairy soft serve ice cream * a café that serves coffee, tea, craft beers, wine, and cocktails Every section of this store has a limited number of items, which prevents cognitive overload. The ordering and grocery spaces are well-lit and the seating spaces have dimmed lighting to bring out our romantic sides. And this entire store is spacious! If you need a lot of space, WT will give it to you. You can get a healthy and delicious meal for $ 7-$ 10. Pick up a few groceries. Stay for a glass of beer. Then have some coffee and a cupcake. You have to leave when they close at 10PM… But don’t worry, they open again at 7AM! Today(1⁄26) was their grand opening and it looks like they are still working out a few kinks. It took a little while for me to figure out how to order. I waited in a non-distinct line, asked for a sandwich, got a written receipt, which I had to take to the cashier, pay, and then return to the station to wait for my name to be called. I’m not sure that the employees know how ordering will work out in the future. I think Wedge could have trained employees for this convenience store /lunch spot /café /meeting place an extra week or two, but I’m sure they’ll have it figured out in the coming months. — (3÷11÷2015) I’ve been to WT a few times now and here are some updates: –ELVIS smoothie — I order this when I feel like drinking a meal + dessert. –HIPPIEHIPPIE smoothie — tastes like a dessert smoothie, but on the healthier side and not too sweet. It came out liquefied one time and now I always ask the staff to make my smoothies as thick as possible. –SEAREDTUNANICOISE — one of the better nicoise salads I’ve had. The seared tuna was buttery and greens were fresh, not over-dressed, and well-tossed. –VEGGIEPANINI — it was OK/decent. It’s a bit expensive for what it is, though. The size is perfect for me(smaller than most other places), but it’s also *more* expensive than a Panini you’d find at many restaurants. –SERVICE — like others have noted, the staff is apathetic as a group and takes away the spirit of a pleasant café experience. This place seemed to be marketed as a community space, but it feels more like an alternative cafeteria. — Although most items are priced in the mid-range for this neighborhood, I hope the pricing committee will offer lower-priced meals so that healthy food is affordable for *everyone* in this community.
