Only let you try two yogurts of the 30 they have on tap. The apparent GM is a total douche that let 6 people leave without buying anything because of his piss poor attitude. Short guy with black hair. Should have grabbed his name.

This was, without question, THE most amazing frozen yogurt experience ever!!! Seriously!!! My kids and I were out late Saturday night working on props for their upcoming school play, when they decided they really wanted frozen yogurt. At 10:15 I had my doubts of locating a yogurt shop still open, but drove around to a few local places that were all closed. I googled«frozen yogurt mpls.» as my last ditch effort, feeling I somehow let my kids down. Yes, there was a Yogurt Lab on Girard Ave. open till midnight… we’re in luck! At 11:10 I called to find their exact location, whereas a man told me they actually close at 11 and he was ready to leave, but if we were nearby he could make sure my kids could still get some yogurt. He asked me what flavors they liked so he could turn the machines back on!!! When we arrived a few minutes later he unlocked the front door and proceeded to unlock the machines for the flavors my kids wanted… he then shared that the fresh fruit had all been put away but he would get whatever fresh toppings my kids wanted, which happened to blueberries and peaches. He happily accommodated their requests and never once made us feel badly or burdensome for being there, in fact he told my kids to take their time and pick out whatever it was they wanted. Whew, I was off the hook, and left with very happy kids and an amazing memory of one incredible businessman who treated his customers with the utmost dignity, respect, and kindness. I hope the Yogurt Lab appreciates this man, Chris, as much as my family did!!!

I love this place for it’s variety, location and always being very clean. They also had a lot(8) of dairy-free options for my friend who is allergic. Most places have one or two only so that was nice. The Mascarpone is my all time favorite, and the attendant last night gave everyone 4+ cups to taste test and I found a new fav in Cookies and Cream. Such a great place

There are sixteen flavors that really present a variety. They have all the toppings you could want. The vibe inside is nice and there is outdoor seating. I’d say it’s the best fro yo place I’ve been to!

Stopped in here to eat away the walk around lake Calhoun. It was mid-day on the 4th of July so the place was pretty empty but the frozen yogurt made it all worth it. My wife and I shared a bowl and filled it with a few different flavors and toppings. Everything seemed high quality and tasted good. The music was a bit loud(man am I getting old) but otherwise, the atmosphere seemed fun. This is a great addition to the neighborhood and we will be back!

Love the product, but the staff was a little too annoyed when I accidentally dripped some yogurt… into the drip tray below the yogurt dispenser(really?! Is it even possible to NOT do this?). And when my five year old asked if she could get sprinkles(admittedly after we paid up), it was barely tolerated by the cashier. So, truth be told we got away with $ 0.03 of free goods. Downtown and Edina locations were far more welcoming.

You must have no soul and hate fun if you don’t love DIY yogurt places. This new Yogurt Lab went in a few blocks from my place, wiping all prospects to lose my winter hibernation layer. Yogurt Lab is slightly better than par compared to other DIY yogurt places for a couple reasons: 1. The fro-yo itself: they have a bunch of awesome flavors that rotate daily. A couple of my favorites: hazelnut, fior di latte, nutella, espresso, vanilla. 2. Da toppings: the topping selection is pretty on point. The puppy chow takes the cake. I’ve been pushing them to put straight up nutella in the toppings bar — no dice yet. Then they’d maybe get a 5. 3 Service: I’ve always had great service. Mostly it’s just adding to my theory that froyo makes everyone a better person. No bitchy faces or sour attitudes allowed. Thanks d00dz, keep on froyoing on.

The only time I went here I got food poisoning. As far as the actual experience goes — they have a fun atmosphere with lots of flavors and stale toppings.

The Uptown Lab offers the same ever-rotating array of flavors and standard yet wide-ranging topping selection as all other locations. As expected, solid offerings, but nothing novel. Relative to other YLs, I do appreciate the space for a few reasons: [Note: A lot of these positive attributes may be attributable to visiting during non-peak hours(Saturday at 10p) when the kiddies are tucked into bed and the rest of Uptown is imbibing.] +Spacious. Have you ever been to the Edina location? It’s not much bigger than an aircraft lavatory. Uptown affords you some breathing room. +Minimal congestion. On many a visits to other locations, fueled by my raging Fro-Yoguholism, I’ve been compelled to barrel into lingering patrons clogging up access to the yogurt pumping and topping stations. Traffic here was light; all zones were clear and easily accessible. +A more mature design. Sleek high wood table tops and booths, less Ikea-esque than other locations. I’d expect nothing less sophisticated as I suck down my cake batter yogurt loaded with gummy bears, puppy chow, and rainbow sprinkles. +Child free zone! So serene was the Lab. No under-disciplined/under-supervised youngin’s tugging on handles running the yogurt reserves dry or shuffling grimy hands through toppings rendering the sneeze guard nothing more than a false sense of security. The new Yogurt Lab is smack dab in the middle of Uptown. But, it’s an inconspicuous storefront easy to miss wedged between Lake and Lagoon underneath the new high-end Walkway apartments(just across the street from Origami/Bar Louie). Since it’s not street-facing(well, technically, it’s on an itsy-bitsy segment of Girard that one would seldom have a need to traverse) and signage is poor, you’ll likely not simply stumble upon it. Late Night Munchie Alert: ***Open until midnight***

Walkable frozen yogurt? 5 stars. If you’ve been to one frozen yogurt place, you’ve been to them all. Each of them have it down to a perfect formula, but Yogurt Lab seems fancier. Better flavors(Cherry Amaretto, Birthday Cake and this combination of raspberry and lime — YESYESYES). The décor is pretty, clean and minimal with the exception of the light fixture that I want in my own house. They just opened this week and I can tell that I’ll be a regular here because it’s so damn convenient. They’ll have patio seating in the summer and it’s within walking distance to the lake. It’s perfect.
