I have been meaning to review this for awhile. I have known Tim & Thom for a long time in various capacities but finally came to them for my tailoring needs. They’ve turned two dresses into skirts for me, they have altered pants and dresses and done a fantastic job each and every time. I love their work and if you know T&T you know they’re awesomely kind and talented. I plan on having a dress custom made and can’t wait to update my review once complete.

I have been meaning to write a review for the fine folks at You and Me for months and I apologize for waiting this long! These guys are excellent tailors and know their stuff inside and out. I went to Tim and Thom needing some alterations to a dress that I needed to «reinvent» and together we came up with a perfect solution. They didn’t mind altering it again when I needed a few things tweaked and I felt very well taken care of. I also had a couple of items hemmed and some jeans taken in at the waist. Everything was perfect and they really encouraged me to make sure things fit exactly the way I wanted. If something needed a little altering, they were more than happy to take care of it until it was just right. I sent a few friends of mine there and they were also very happy with Tim and Thom! I can’t wait to have a reason to see them again!

This little boutique opened on just last week right across the street from the Wedge Co-op and next door to Red Dragon. I walked in was greeted with a resounding, «Hello!» from the back of the deep store, which doubles as a sewing shop. Thom quickly came out from behind is sewing table to chat. Brothers Tim and Thom are clothing designers, and I was happy to learn that they are participating in Voltage this year with their spring fashion line. Both of them seemed like such fantastic people — super friendly and excited about their new space. Aside from their handiwork, the store also includes goodies from the other partners, a husband and wife(Katy Schmaty) who were not in at the time. Katy creates beautiful jewelry and her hubby rehabs box purses, furniture and other knickknacks. I saw a few necklaces in the $ 65 range that I wanted to take home with me. Thom also mentioned that Katy will customize any piece in the store, so if you like everything except that one little flower on a bracelet, she’ll change it no problem. Everything is on sale here, including the shabby chic buffets, bookcases and display tables. I actually loved a few of the bigger pieces but have no place for them in my house, so I’ll continue to admire from afar. If you’re looking for alterations, it seems like they do mostly minor things like hemming and mending. I asked about my coat liner(it needs to be replaced terribly), and I think I’ll stick with NE Tailor for involved things like that. Still, nice to know that it’s available for smaller stitching projects if need be. Welcome to the neighborhood, guys!
