Royal Nails

They do great work here! I usually have Dan (Owner) do my Mani & Pedi, and he does awesome work! He’s always making sure my nails look perfect … He is a perfectionist. Everyone here is so friendly. I’ve tried other salons in the area, but this place does the best work if you want to keep your natural nails looking great!

Friendly? Well… perhaps. But, communication issues abound! I agree that they mostly chatter amongst themselves continously in Vietnamese and it can get really loud.
Lots of shortcuts here. MN state cosmetology boards require that salons DO NOT reuse disposable items on patrons, such as emery boards and filing blocks, but this salon does it consistantly! They use the same filing item on me as the previous customers. They use metal tools and DO NOT sterilze them between customers, but, put them in the drawer of a rolling cart and they all repeatedly dip from the same large product jar of skin scrub when doing pedicures. They drain and «clean» the pedicure tubs by spraying with «scrubbing bubbles» bathroom cleaner. All these practices are NOT SANITARY and unlawful!
The man who «works» there is the husband of the owner. Not even sure if he is licenced or professionally trained to provide services, but he will do pedicures on clients when they are really busy and staffed sparsely.
They will start on a new client and ask a current client to wait to be finished so as not to loose business, especially if you are there for both manicure and pedicure.
Their pedicure chairs are equipped supposedly with multi-​function massage action, but only 1 out of 5 chairs actually works fully, most are in need of maintenence to repair their functions.
If you try to pay by credit card… they ask if you have a check instead. Then they ask you to make the check out to the owner’s last name… NOT to the business. Pretty shady if you ask me. The state board should investigate.
They are happy and friendly and very chatty, but, YOU are the minority if you don’t speak Vietnamese here. TIP: Bring your own tools and polish.

The woman here are so kind and customer service oriented. They are not the cleanest or have the best hand massage, but my nails look nice and they make sure you like them before you leave. Once I even didn’t have the right card and she let me leave and come back and pay in the morning! They are also pretty fast;)

The only reason this place gets even one star is because they were nice. The girl hurried through my manicure (there wasn’t anyone waiting) and now there is polish in the crevices and on my skin. The polish was unevenly put on my nails, and now I have to go to a wedding with a manicure that looks like a child did it. Can’t believe I paid 35 dollars for this, and I am so embarrassed.
