I had dinner there again last night, the food was great the angry pasta is just the right amount of pissed right off! So good. I had the rib eye and my bad I wanted it more medium rare, I won’t blame anyone but myself for that. But I figured it out… The service that last few times didn’t leave me with the feeling of, I want to get back there soon. But last night, everyone from the hostess(who’s an interesting artist, by the way, I wish I would have gotten her website or etsy account), our server(he’s obviously been there a while, he was a class act and our service was seemless… All the way to the after dinner drinks & conversation with the bartender. If you haven’t been in for a cocktail… Go! If you wanna talk basketball with someone who knows her players… go! It was a pleasure… Here’s your well deserved 5 star! I’ll be back.

Had a fabulous meal at 10 Main. We had a group of 14 and were in a private room. The vinyl collection and turntable to DJ our own soundtrack was a nice touch. With that many people dining, we covered most of the menu. To start, we tried out some appetizers — the pheasant strips were very tasty as were the sautéed mushrooms. For the main course I had the filet mignon — others ordered the smoked duck, prime rib, bison, mahi mahi as well as some of the pasta dishes. All commented on how tasty their food was. Deserts — the peanut butter cheesecake stood out, as did the blueberry bread pudding. The service was impeccable, not an easy feat with a group that large. Overall, I’d highly recommend 10 Main for a fine dining experience in Minot

Everything was fantastic! Pheasant strips were delicious. The ribeye was unbelievable! Never had a nicer smoked flavour then this steak! Service was impeccable and was a real treat to eat here!

Had a wonderful birthday dinner here. I got the filet mignon and a mojito! Both were excellent, along with the waiter and the ice cream sundae they had!

We fancy! I’m going to have to be stingy on the stars here. I’ve been twice now and have yet to meet the owner! Okay… Maybe expecting Josh Duhamel behind the bar in a manner reminiscent to a scene from Cocktail with Tom Cruise is a stretch but hey, let a girl dream! The cuisine is the best fine dining experience in Minot, North Dakota hands down. The menu is atypical«North Dakota fanfare» and you can order pheasant and bison, both of which are delicious! The calamari is crazy tasty as well. The staff is pleasant and attentive but definitely more casual than what you’d expect from a fine dining establishment in a larger city but that isn’t a bad thing. The location is in the downtown area and I was interested in the history of the building. The tin ceiling looks original and the architecture and décor definitely play homage to the area’s Scandinavian influence. The waitress told me at one time it had been a Sear’s. But I digress… The last time I dropped a couple dimes at the restaurant was with my sister. She enjoyed the experience so much that she took her first selfie! In a bathroom decorated with silhouettes and cheetah print, why wouldn’t you take a bathroom selfie while waiting on your steak! She was definitely caught up in the moment! That in and of itself makes this restaurant the best place in town!

The wild rice soup was just like any other I have had at many different restaurants and the pheasants strips were over cooked and drenched in the Asian sauce making hard to taste the pheasant. I did not order an entrée.

We were excited to eat here because it was the closest thing we could find to fancy in Minot, and it was as fancy as a place in this town could get. Started out with the pheasant strips which weren’t bad but I didn’t really care for them. I ordered duck while my husband had lamb if I can remember and everything wasn’t too bad. The interior of the place is actually nice and our waitress was kind and attentive to us. You do have to make a reservation for this place as it did start getting full going into the evening. If you want to get out and have a nice dinner and you’re stranded(or stationed) in Minot, this is probably the fanciest you’ll find.

On a recent road trip, we found this place on a local Minot website and gave it a try. It has a great industrial feel to it, and the seating was comfortable. Service was good and our server had a great knowledge of the menu and wine selection. We began with a cheese plate. Yes sounds odd, but the options were light as were the bread and crackers. My husband ordered the crab cakes and said they were good. Not, great, but good. I ordered the smoked duck with a sake-hoisin sauce. I like the sauce as it had depth, but the duck was SO good, I saw no need for the sauce. The portions are big, so sharing an entrée may be the way to go. Versus TC prices, we saw great value for the money.

Everything about Ten North is first class. My ribeye was cooked to perfection as was the accompanying vegetables. Our waiters knowledge of the wine list was most helpful. The restaurant itself is laid out in a way that make conversations at the table easy at a normal voice level. Had a chance to taste the ribs which would be my next choice, awesome! I would return.

We were in Minot on a business trip and were recommended Ten North as «The Best Restaurant in Minot.» Having been to several other restaurants in town, I’d have to say this distinction is pretty accurate. Getting to Ten North these days is a bit of an adventure and accessible(seemingly) only by 4 Wheel Drive. They seem to be digging up every road in the town so be prepared to drive a few blocks on bumpy, pothole ridden dirt road. Once you are parked, your return to an even dirtier car. Bottom line, don’t wear your Sunday finest. Cuisine wise, the menu offers some amazing dishes but be prepared to drop some coin to get it. I live in San Francisco and I see these prices all the time but by any standard, this place is expensive. I opted to have the half duck dish which was very well prepared. I see they also had a number of beef dishes which looked excellent as well. If I was on a budget(but why would you be if you are going here?), I’d recommend one of the pasta dishes. I see there are a number of pictures on Unilocal but because Ten North is so dark, all the dishes look crappy. Trust me, the pictures don’t do this place justice. Go to the ATM and give this place a try.

I like this place and have been here quite a few times since opening but several things frustrate me into only giving the three stars. The food is solid although I think the menu could use some switch up, if you go enough there really isn’t anything new. Being a foodie type person and trying things all over the world I’d give the food a decent 7 out of 10 it won’t always wow you but will never disappoint, as well as not too far outside the box but solid and would give food 4 stars. Staff is usually great as well I would give them 5 stars. My biggest frustration is the hours, seriously! I get it I’m a late eater, I’d prefer to eat around the 9 – 10 pm range but how does a place that only opens at 5 pm which no one eats at has its kitchen closed at 9:15 pm on a Saturday??? And this has happened multiple times even so in not taking a reservation in which I had 8 people with me. Hey 10 north Main does well and doesn’t need my help but if you are going to serve for three hours just say so that way ya don’t ruin other people’s plans in expecting a «high end» restaurant to be open more than 3 hours. The sun isn’t even down in Minot at 9:15 pm FFS! So on that they get one star for a generous 3 star average

Great atmosphere, professional service, more then likely one of the better fine dining options in the area although I can’t speak for the dinner menu. Just the dessert… I went their because of their dessert sampler platter. Which aesthetically was everything I imagined, but taste was not up to par. It tasted like cheap desserts, low quality shortening, and uncreative overuse of white sugar. When I got home I had the worst stomach ache I have ever had for literally hours. Granted, I did eat an excessive amount of this dessert, but I eat an excessive amount of dessert on a regular basis and have never experienced something like this. Point being. I appreciated the presentation, but the quality and preparation need some work.

Love this place! Perfect for a special occasion or for a nice evening out. Every visit has been wonderful! We even used the back room for the celebration of our Parents 60th Anniversary and had a very memorable evening. It couldn’t have been more perfect!

This is a gem in an otherwise lacking area. The best duck I’ve ever tasted, topped with the wine reduction sauce and outstanding blueberry bread pudding made it a meal I’m still talking about. Great to find a truly talented chef and great staff. This is a must visit place if you are in the area.

Couldn’t be seated because apparently the restaurant was full for the night at 8:30pm on a Wednesday night. Although, there were empty tables and the patrons behind us didn’t have a problem getting a table. Atmosphere is nice. Food smelled nice from the hostess counter.

Professionalism at the bar could use a lot of improvement. One of the two bartenders after mixing drinks for patrons was drinking anything that was left over while the customers at the bar watched. As for the food… I have definetly experienced better for a lot less cost. The salad was $ 6 of simply lettuce and spinich leaves with a half dozen croutons. The pheasant marsala was the most bland marsala dish I have ever experienced. The sauce tasted like Campbell’s cream of mushroom soup. The pheasant was chewy and had no flavor.

This place has a variety of offers and hence it sets itself apart from the rest of the franchise world. I had the smoked duck and for the most part was ok, I love duck and this was the first time I had it prepared this way so I did not know what to expect… It’s different; the veggies were not over cooked and the drink selections were good. It’s worth the stop if you are looking for something different.
