Scissor’s Edge Hair Styling and Tanning Salon

This place lacked a haircut ambiance. Subway will offer you more of an experience. I am truly puzzled by those who have given this place high marks.

I recently got my hair cut at the scissors edge. My stylist was Morgan and I have to say that she did an excellent job. I have never had so many compliments on a haircut and they were from all the ladies at work.

I’ve been to many different haircut places here in Minot since moving here in Oct 2012. I hadn’t had a decent haircut in Minot and have had to pay close to $ 20 each time. I read Paul’s review and decided to give Scissor’s Edge a shot. I was able to get right in and Morgan is not only a cool gal but she did a nice job on my hair. I just get a simple medium fade and scissor the top so I can style it a little. You wouldn’t believe how hard it is to find a good fade here in Minot.
Overall, Scissor’s Edge is a very nice place and has some nice ladies working there. I’ll definitely be going there regularly.

So there I was, new to Minot and looking for a new barber/​stylist. My criteria was simple:
1. Looking for someone who has actually held a pair of scissors before (aka experience)
2. Preferentially looking for small, local businesses
3. Customer service (I’m not asking for a happy ending, just a greeting when I walk in & and maybe a warm-​fuzzy that you’re not planning to slit my neck with your recently honed straight razor)
After looking thru the available options, I chose the one with the coolest name (despite having 0 reviews).
Kellie @ The Scissors Edge is now my «go-​to» stylist. She does a great job and actually remembers personal details (like my name, and what size guard for the sides). On top of that, they give military discount — $ 10 for a men’s haircut (that’s 41% off the MSRP;).
