The fair board needs to look into traffic control after concerts. Fair guests were abandoned Saturday night after Aerosmith … We haven’t moved in 45 minutes!!!

I tried to add this as a «short term event» but got a reply that Unilocal wasn’t set up for those kinds of things in Minot yet. So, I will attempt to review the fair using this one. I attended the fair in 2012 and 2013. The fair does have an RV campground inside the fairgrounds, but those sites go very quickly in advance. But, about a block up from the railroad tracks, there is a field that is apparently privately owned(guessing) and the owner lets the fair use it every year. This field provides FREE dry camping to anyone who is attending the fair. An outhouse is provided. I stayed there both years, and it was never crowded. Plenty of room to park your RV and not be crowded by neighbors. As for the fair itself, I was impressed by the variety of things to see. There was a kids fishing area sponsored by the state fish and wildlife. Plus, the usual rides, animal barns, craft barns, vegetable barns, and local cuisine. The cuisine had quite a variety, it wasn’t all hamburgers and junk food. The Community building featured a very wide variety of vendors of all kinds of things. Both years I attended, I purchased Christmas presents from the vendors. The $ 8 entrance fee wasn’t bad for what you get. I didn’t get to attend any of the concerts but during 2013 I could hear JOURNEY all the way from the free RV overnight area! Enjoyed the fair both years. Highly recommend attending.
