A dive bar known for all you can eat crabs. This place is ancient and has a much older crowd, do not get dressed up to come here.

I have gone to Babe’s many times over the past years It has always been great lots of tasty meaty crabs, cold pitchers of beer, brown paper on the tables and a juke box that we pumped full of quarters. We have spent hours there eating and drinking. I was going to go with friends and they called me and changed their plans and we ended up going to the Toad Fish south of Bridgeton because they said Babe’s now had a time limit on how long you could stay– HYow is it All-​You-​Can-​Eat if there is a time limit?

This is another one of those seafood places where I good-​humoredly went along with my friends despite the fact that I don’t eat seafood. Babe’s is known for their all you can eat crabs. I’m known as the sucker who doesn’t mind shucking other people’s crabs even though I don’t eat them. I’m sure I ate SOMETHING while I was there, but I frankly don’t recall as it was a long time ago. But folks really seem to like this place. It’s an unpretentious working man’s kinda place where you can have a beer and some crabs and hang around with people you like for not much money. You’ve got to head down to the Jersey shore to find another place like it.
