This store is one of the best grocery stores I’ve been to. I’m a vegan, and their produce section is wonderful. I have found some gluten free items as well. The staff is very friendly. I highly recommend this Aldi.

I just recently discovered this location. I had been going to the location E. John St. I am glad that I found this one because although I think it’s a little bit further away from my house, traffic wise it’s easier to get to and back. This location also looks relatively new on the inside. Everything was clean and neatly stocked. Aldi is the best for getting reasonable priced groceries. Their produce is always fresh and delicious and so much cheaper than what you’ll get it for at any of the other local grocery stores!

In general, I like Aldi. I especially like that I can find a lot of my favorite items from Trader Joe’s for cheaper. I never do all of my shopping here(or at TJ’s), but it’s really good for odds and ends or certain seasonal items(baking ingredients, pumpkins, apple cider, etc.). With the deals, however, come headaches. Without fail, you will see people who fail to notice the flow of the store and navigate every aisle in reverse, and you’ll see a plethora of other rude and clueless individuals. The employees, however, are friendly and ultra-efficient. Once you get used to its quirks, Aldi can be a good place to do some selective shopping.

Aldi is awesome. I was trying to recall just when I started shopping at Aldi, and it has to have been 12 – 13 years ago. It wasn’t this location, of course, since they just opened. And though they have apparently been in the US since the 70s(according to the always-reliable Wikipedia), they didn’t come to Charlotte until the well after that time: just after 2000, if my calculations are correct. Regardless, at that time, they weren’t much more than a small box store with the bare essentials. You could probably do 75% or so of your weekly shopping there, and that’s fine. Now, however, they seem to have broadened their horizons — or we have moved to a better area — and the stores are a bit larger, a bit brighter, and the offerings are probably approaching 85−90% of the weekly shopping trip. It’s also a heck of a lot closer, which is awesome all around. When they opened the new store, they also had sampling(food sampling? at Aldi?) and gave away eco-friendly shopping bags, filled with goodies. Needless to say, I’m excited to have a brand-spanking-new Aldi just around the corner from our house. I’ll be a regular, even with Publix coming in(though they will probably take care of the other 10−15% when needed).
