The chorizo queso is to die for! The steak tacos are excellent… So is the shrimp cocktail. My husband normally gets a chimichanga. We’ve ordered a lot from this menu and have never been disappointed! From the iron steak, fajitas, salads. We love it all! Sounds like I work for them but I do not, we just go week after week if not twice a week. Don Pedro’s Miramar!

Food is good but the service ruined it. They charge more for extra tortillas for fajitas. Everything we asked for the waitress seemed mad that we asked for napkins, plates or anything else. 2 kids asked for fries with their kids meals & when we said it was not correct she said to my son«you ordered rice». I always have my son order for himself just so he can get practice at communicating for himself. I listen closely because I want to make sure he does it right. He did it right. She didn’t make a big deal about it but it kind of bothered me. When she brought the fries out she didn’t even ask if we need anything & practically ran off. It’s not very crowded, I’ve been a waiter. I guess she just doesn’t like her job, but that kind of service ruins a meal for me. To top it off they added an 18% tip because we had 6 people I guess. That topped off a meal at a place I’ll never return to or suggest

So let me preface this by saying that I’m from Texas, where we have amazing Mexican food so I should have known going into this that maybe this place wouldn’t be very satisfying. When we walked in we were seated by a girl who didn’t even look old enough to work there and definitely didn’t want to be there, she also seemed rather lost. We were seated and it took about 15 minutes to get drinks. I had read in previous reviews that the margaritas were really good so I wanted to try one. At no point was I offered a drink menu, nor could I keep the waiters attention long enough to order one. It took a while for the wait staff to figure out who was supposed to be our waiter before our orders were taken. My mom got the beef enchiladas and said the beef had zero seasoning and the sauce tasted like it was from a can, she also however said she enjoyed their rice. I order steak quesadillas and they were pretty descent. The steak had a weird wang to it so I added sour cream and queso. The chips were not very good as they either fried them too long or needed to change their oil and the salsa was fairly bland and needed far less cilantro(which I enjoy). The few good things I can say: the tea was good, the queso was alright and the quesadillas were decent.

Food quality is very poor definitely not fresh. All the drink’s had a bleach taste to it, and the service was average.

Sorry to say, but the service and food service is not up to par. Food tasted like something from the local grocer and heated up. Boring salsa and enough cracked chips for the whole family. For $ 10 you do get a pitcher of margaritas that I wondered if there was any tequila even added to the sour mix. Very disappointing trip to this strip mall eatery.

Pretty disappointing place. Margaritas were mainly sour mix and service was super rushed and strange. Food was average.

Get your guacamole fix here! They also make a decent steak. The drinks here are gigantic, and I do mean that! I almost drown in my huge iced-tea. I then watched in sheer awe as the couple at the table across from us drank what I could only describe as a Margarita in an actual fish bowl — truly a sight to see! If you’re looking for good Mexican food at reasonable prices, you should try Don Pedro’s. My rib-eye steak smothered in Ranchero sauce was just what I wanted, and though the chips and salsa weren’t fancy, they sure filled the gap when the large(and affordable) guacamole arrived. Skip the veggie fajitas and go with the fish tacos, as the veggies were cooked in a bit too much oil and I now wonder how the tacos taste… I’d go back for certain, just to find out. Muchas Gracias Don Pedro!

FINALLY!!! I have been looking for good Mexican food in the area and this place has it. I had a burrito with steak in it and it was covered in a white cheese sauce, which was phenomenal! I am so happy!

My husband & I went here last night because he has been wanting real authentic Mexican food. So, we found this place on Unilocal & decided to go here for a early dinner at 5pm. My husband ordered the chicken burrito supreme & I ordered the shrimp burrito. It was so yummy & fulfilling. And it was not overpriced like most of the places here in Destin. I love the fact we can go on vacation, have a nice time, enjoy yummy food & not have it be overpriced. Definitely coming back here again!

Food has been pretty consistent I like there tacos and green enchiladas. The portion of chicken has been less then I would like. Not had problem with a loud tv that someone mention in previous post, but do not go to someone business and fuck with there music. See allot of old farts going into business and turning down music or tv. If I am there, turning it up.

Food was as expected overall; some good things(the trad steak tacos), some meh(salsa is not fresh and tasted tinned). The service was what made this a once-only visit. And I write this as someone with decades in the food service industry and a mammoth soft spot for servers. It wasn’t terrible or offensive or anything exciting — it was just poor service. The kind that you know is due to the place and not the individual server. Only one visible floor person until the very end, no back, no help. Plus a just general lack of interest in the customers. I felt like we had interrupted something and that serving us was an unexpected irritant. The margarita was large.

Terrible, absolutely terrible. I ordered the Enchiladas Verde and got it for takeout. When I opened my meal I saw about 10 very small pieces of steak thrown on top of two soggy«enchiladas». I pushed the«steak» off the sad excuse for an enchilada and there was no Verde sauce at all. I was extremely hungry at work and ate about 4 bites and threw it in the trash. I called back and told them what happened and they said«sorry you didn’t like your meal.» I wasn’t looking to get comped a meal but the offer would have been appreciated. I would have been better off going to taco bell and saving my money. I sincerely hope they talk to their kitchen staff.

My wife loves Mexican food so we looked for a place for lunch. Saw this place on Unilocal so we thought we’d try it out. Walked in and we were immediately greeted by no one. Stood there for a few minutes and some worker just waved us to go sit anywhere. Waitress came over rather quickly and took our drink order. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The food was typical and somewhat bland. Wife’s nachos were swimming in lettuce and my chimichanga lacked flavor. We’ll try some other place when we have a desire for Mexican food. Swing and a miss

Surly waiter and waitress, with less than mediocre food. Don’t waste your money. Skip this one. We had to ask for salsa three times and the waiter just looked at us and shook his head no when asked initially. Don’t waste your money or your meal.

We were far less than impressed by Don Pedro’s. As soon as we walked in, the first thing me and my family noticed was the giant TVBLARING Mexican music videos. The content of the music videos ranged from people engaging in «questionable behaviors» to drag racing trucks, at times the music videos seemed slightly inappropriate for young children. Eventually someone from my table got up and turned the tv down, only to have our waitress turn the tv back up. Onto the food itself: I had a burrito. I knew it came with baked beans and ground beef in it. However, the bean: beef ratio was way off. There was so many refried beans in it you could hardly even taste what little beef was in there. None of my family enjoyed their food

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Staff was very pleasant, restaurant was clean and decorated with standard Mexican joint décor. The menu offered a couple more options than our local Mexican place. I had a green enchilada, hard beef taco, and a chili relleno. All was good but the chili relleno could have used a meat filling… the texture was too mushy without it. Guac was very good. Salsa was safely, and annoyingly, mild(why don’t more places offer either a mild or spicy option!?). Decent meal. Wife had tacos 3 ways… steak, carnitas, and chorizo. She said the Chorizo was exceptional and I had to steal a bite to verify. Very good. The other two had dry/tough meat and were not a hit with the wife. Would be 3 stars but that chorizo taco and the guac pushed my rating to a 4.

Place was gross. Sorry we went and celebrated our cinco de mayo here. The«special» margaritas looked like ecto-cooler(think neon green ghostbusters drink circa 1988) and tasted like mix-zero tequila. I ordered a salad, which I rarely do anyway and when I asked about the difference in the chicken salads(the menu read almost exactly the same from one item to the next) the waitress explained that one had pico, avocado, variety of lettuce and onions. Okay cool. I order that and I get iceberg lettuce finagled into a very sad salad(and not how it was explained). My husband ordered the steak enchiladas and the meal came out with cheese enchiladas and the steak on top-not inside. The queso dip and bottled Pacifico(hard to mess that up) is all I would recommend.

Really fresh guacamole, approved by a 8 year old! I had the tres Tacos Carnita style and they were delicious. My 11 year old is s super picky eater but he tried a beef chimichanga and ate the whole thing! Great value, fresh food!

Can’t imagine eating Mexican with so much good seafood to eat but you can only eat so much seafood. We came here because of the high rates reviews. My wife is from TX and we are there several times a year. We are both very particular about our Mexican food. Especially Tex-Mex. The first test is the salsa. This place has roasted salsa. Very good and it has a small bite. My wife and I both ordered tipical Mexican tacos with the fresh cilantro in corn tortillas. We got chicken, beef and chorizo. They were great but the sausage was best. Great guacamole and great salsa picosa. Highly recommend this place. If we had one near home we would be there a bunch.
