Emerald Sanctuary Day Spa

I found this place on Unilocal and saw all the great reviews and got excited about getting both a Brazilian wax and a mani/​pedi. Brittany was who I got for all services, and she is the nicest anyone could ask for, no complaints there!
As for the wax, I am not new to Brazilian waxes as I have been going to the same person for almost 8 years back home. So I expect that no matter what is being waxed that there will not be any hair left… nor wax pieces.
I learned when I made the appointment that they do nothing with acrylic, so that was a clear expectation. I didn’t anticipated being in the salon for almost 3 hours just for the mani/​pedi. I was disappointed that it was chipping within a week.
The company was pleasant as she is very nice, I just personally won’t be returning for either of those services.

I went in for a full leg and bikini wax. Brittany did a great job. I definitely recommend her. I am also an esthetician and we talked skin care. She knows her stuff. I look forward to coming in during my next visit for a facial.

Waxing, facial, pedicure and massage. I had a bunch of services and found the whole experience professional relaxing and a value for the money.

Absolutely top notch work. The massage therapist untied the knots in my back, educated me about some IT band exercises that will keep my runner’s legs from being so tight all the time, and loosened up the tension that sits in my neck from looking at a computer screen all day. Best massage I’ve ever had. Would go back in a heartbeat!

My Mom, sister, and I had massages and they were great! Krystal was my massage therapist and she was AMAZING! She did a great job combining a deep tissue massage with relaxation. I will definitely come back and visit when I am in town!

I called today to see if I could get in last minute for a massage. My back had been seizing up so bad I felt like I couldn’t breathe, even went to the hospital! I could barely walk and let the receptionist know my situation. She called a therapist in for me and within 30 minutes I was on the table. Amazing work from Pete and he was very communicative through the whole session. I went from barely being able to get on the table to walking out feeling like a new person! Thank you so much to Pete for accommodating me last minute and working his magic.

I really wanted to like this spa but for overall experience my husband and I are disappointed! My husbands back was feeling awful on our recent anniversary vacation to Destin so we decided to try and book a couples massage. I picked this spa because of other Unilocal reviews but we didn’t get as lucky.
Tried to book a couples massage online and accidentally booked TWO couples massages because their scheduling system wasn’t working properly. Luckily, the spa manager noticed when it went through and called me to verify the mistake. I told her no, I only want one couples massage for just my husband and I.
The waiting room only has room for three to be seated. I understand this «spa» only has three massage rooms but there was nothing tranquil about it!
I guess my phone call with the woman at the desk wasn’t clear because It wasn’t until my husband and I arrived and were in separate rooms that we had realized they had made a mistake! We couldn’t be moved because there was another couple already in the couples room! So much for that anniversary massage side by side!
Luckily Krystal was able to give me a massage that I thoroughly enjoyed. I asked for a relaxing massage, not focused on any particular area and she delivered. She was great with time management and the pressure she applied.
My husband also enjoyed his massage. The therapist he had specializes in medical massage so she was able to work in stretching and range of motion for him which worked out nicely. He however was put off by the sound of the flushing toilet every few minutes right next to his room!
Long story short… for $ 180 between the two of us plus a $ 20 tip for each therapist we will find a real spa that delivers the whole experience from start to finish.
If you want a good massage go here. If you’re looking for a relaxing experience for the money you pay, skip it!

First of all, let me say that I had booked a 60 minute massage & anti aging facial after finding this spa on Unilocal.All of the staff were professional & my services were great. I was the first appointment, & my service started on time. Had a nice massage followed by a nice facial. When my facial started, I clarified that I was scheduled for the anti aging facial. The esthetician said, «oh, I have you for an herbal facial» but she said it was no problem & changed it to what I had asked for. Then they were able to squeeze me in for a pedicure, which was nice even though the tub overflowed. But not a big deal at all. The girl was very nice & apologetic.
When I checked out, I noticed I was billed for a 90 minute massage, even though I had booked a 60 minute. So instead of being booked for a 60 minute massage & anti aging facial. The owner booked me for a 90 minute massage & an herbal facial?
So overall, services were great, management/​scheduling not so organized. I may return, but I will be certain to verify everything before my services.

I visited this place twice while on vacation with my bad back. I’ve had many massages and this was a five star massage! Leah and Krystal were both able to work out the kinks into back and I will return on my next visit!

I’ve had massages all around the world. I booked this couple’s massage as a Christmas gift for myself and my girlfriend.
I’m giving this review less than a 5-​Star because the building itself wasn’t as inviting as I like when going to a spa. The office is small and, the rooms were really close together. Typically for the price they charge it comes with a juice bar, a lounge, a bath after the massage, and/​or several other amenities that just weren’t there. You’re really paying for the location, which is in the heart of the resort areas.
The massage I got was from Robbie. She listened to me when I told her where to focus and she nailed it. I am not a huge fan of the deep tissue massage technique, but I like a very firm rub down. That’s exactly what she gave me. My shoulders haven’t felt this good in a long time. I told her on the way out that whatever she was doing to my thighs was easily the best massage I’ve ever had.
My girl was very pleased with what Kristy did for her and said it was easily the best she’d had as well.
If you’re in the area I strongly suggest rolling in there and seeing what they have to offer.

This salon had a Groupon deal for their Express Mani/​Pedi. After reading the good reviews about the spa, I thought I’d give it a try. What a nice experience! Cindy was professional and a very nice person to spend my afternoon with. I love what she did with my nails — it was not ‘Express’ at all! I’ll definitely be going back next month!

I’m pretty hard when critiquing massage… Let me tell you, this was one of the best I’vewever had. Krystal Orlando has been doing massage therapy for six years and it shows. She was intuitive finding places to work on that I hadn’t even listed in the paperwork and put me to sleep several times. The staff is very friendly and setting up an appointment is easy with their online system. The experience was just incredible.
Anytime that I’m in Destin I will be back!

My wife I had a really great couples massage. Very clean salon both Krytal & Crystal made this a special afternoon.

Great massages and lots of double rooms to accommodate couples. Note that this is not really a spa atmosphere– no robes. Facial was not great.

My husband and I went in for a couples massage and it was AMAZING. We both walked away feeling great. It was much more affordable than the spa offered on the resort so we were really happy to find such a great deal on a great massage. I will be back. Went here for a couples massage this week to de-​stress from our wedding. It turned out to be wonderful! Both of the massage therapists that we had were excellent. We live in Chicago and get massages often and we both agreed that this was one of the best we have had! Next time we are in Destin we will be back!!! Highly recommend this spa!
