I bought my 29er mountain bike here which was not a high dollar bike. Entry level was all I could afford and they took that into consideration when they fit me with the bike. Since then, almost a year later, I’ve had that bike as well as others, in the shop for repairs. They’ve always fixed my bikes appropriately and wouldn’t let me leave until I was totally satisfied. Also, I’ve been over there to a couple of group rides that Robin has been involved in. The group is always inclusive and safe. It’s worth the drive from PCB for this shop.

On vacation in Sandestin and My 7 year old’s bicycle needed the chain tightened and seat raised. The nice folks working here could not have been more friendly and helpful. The charge for the tune up was fair and reasonable and they called me when the repair was ready so that I did not have to wait around. The shop is very clean and organized. It has a lot of VERY nice bikes for the serious cyclist but the shop was without pretention. They love bikes and it shows. This is a good place if you want knowledgeable and personal service.

Recently purchased bike from Robin’s. I have to say I chose to buy my bike here only because there are so few options in the Destin/Ft Walton area. It was the ONLY option for the bike I wanted. I have frequented many bike shops over the years, in other cities, and have to say I wasn’t feeling much customer appreciation. There is a real aloof type of attitude with the sales staff, and I am fairly certain this would have not been the case had I been purchasing one of their more high end bikes. A shopper here will need to educate themselves prior to walking in, because you will be offered little information about the bikes on their floor, unless you ask specific questions. In their defense, I experienced this same attitude in all 3 shops in the area. I think they know they are the only show in town and their business livelihood does not rely on excellent customer service. PS. After buying my bike I had 3 employees stand by while I struggled to push it out the front doors while trying not to bang it up. I think after handling over $ 600 you could offer to walk me out. :(

Have to agree with Timothy S. They seemed bothered that I came by and clearly weren’t interested in my «No-name» bike or the ‘check over’ service I wanted. Must be nice to have so much work that you can act so condescending to new customers. They might do well for the professional bikers but are not interested in the everyday persons business. Wish they had indicated their preferred customers on the phone before we took our bike there.

It is only 1 of 3 in town & not for those of us who bike for leisure! I should have known better after calling earlier in the week & the woman who answered came across as though I was bothering her. But, in trying to do business local, I stopped up today to get an estimate on some bike repairs, of which, I had all the parts needed. One of the owners(man) gave it a look over, started to name off parts needed, & I reminded him I had all the parts already. After that, there were several other things that I did not request have done & he was over $ 100 at that point. I say what about just the parts I have, & he says no, it needs these other things, one of which he said was a new tube, because the tire was flat; I informed I let the air to change the new wheel, which he said was bent too. Pretenscious & condescending are just a coupe of words to describe my recent visit to this business. I felt as though I was not welcome there & his attempts to drive up the cost of the repairs were intentional to get me to leave. Rude & unprofessional!!!
