There is most certainly nothing negative to say about my first session with Stephen. He is not only intuitive but has an understanding of the body and body systems that clearly exceeds that of any medical doctor I’ve ever seen. I was apprehensive about acupuncture so he suggested an acupressure massage. Not only was the massage enjoyable and helpful but it was also informative. Very quickly, Stephen deduced what the possible causes of my tighter areas could be based on my lifestyle/​job and offered possible solutions. It is obvious that Stephen understands the importance of getting to know his clients. After an initial intake as well as tongue and pulse reading he explained how Traditional Chinese medicine viewed the responses as well as put it in a way that was easy to understand. A few days after my session I received an email from Stephen with a more thorough evaluation a well as dietary suggests. I have just completed my first treatment at Getz Better Acupuncture. Stephen Getz asked me a series of thorough questions to get right to the heart of my issue. He provided me with two treatments In a single session, that including cupping as well as acupuncture. The cupping was a brand new experience and Stephen explained the the anatomy in terms I could understand. He was very light handed when needling me and I did not feel the needles penetrate my skin. I felt a tingling sensation at several of the points, all the time with Stephen explaining what was happening and educating me in the underlying mechanisms that were taking place. I will definitely be back to and recommend this practitioner of several modalities within traditional Chinese medicine.

I have really enjoyed getting to know Stephen and Getz Better Acupuncture! I am an active runner and about a year ago I was having pain in my IT band and knees, so much so that I had to stop running altogether. I was very disheartened but did no wan to visit a «traditional» doctor because I knew they would either tell me to stop running or medicate me; neither those were acceptable options for me.
