I pretty much agree with alot of what others have said, great selection of guns and i get their weekly email on specials yet they never seem to have what they advertise on sale. Example. they had 9 mm magtech on sale for 10.99 a box starting open on saturday, i was there saturday 15 min past open and the salesman said their sold out? WTF? 15MIN after sale started your sold out? It was same thing during Christmas specials they show all these unbelievable deals yet have very few in stock. The staff is very sarcastic and short and while i dealt with public for 10 years and understand it can be difficult but the customer service is horrible. I shop for my guns through private sales on internet. They wont get my business nor friends as their aware of it as well.

2 stars… and they are all going toward their gun selections. My friend and I came into the store, and my friend is well… colorful(literally!). He’s a hard working guy who just happens to be covered in ink and maybe salesmen think that means he can’t finance a trip to the zoo. My friend was ignored, despite his obvious attempts to get some kind of service out of any of the salesmen. It’s too bad for you Midwest, because little do you know my friend can afford to buy your entire back wall with cash. Oh, the kicker, you idiots did it to him twice! Yes, we came back a year later for a repeat of this experience. You can keep your guns, my friend gives his money to someone else now.

Great selection of guns, they tend to be on the high side when it comes to price. However, there are always sales and good deals to be found. If your selling a gun, be ready to take a loss. Midwest has to turn around and make money on it, so your not going to get what you payed for it. Most of the older staff is knowledgeable, but if you get a new guy, don’t expect him to know everything about every gun. And for gods sake, if you need help, walk up to an employee. If you stand around waiting for one to come to you, you might be waiting a while. All in all I’ve had nothing but positive experiences here. If I’m looking to sell, they will always buy. If I’m looking to buy, they usually have what I’m looking for. No one is perfect, but Midwest in Mishawaka comes close.

I’ll give it two stars just because of the«gun selection» if it didn’t have as much in stock it would easily be one… I felt like I got looked up and down as I walked in, and it was decided I didn’t need help from the get go(maybe it was my appearance) …I walked around the store for about 15 – 20 minutes and treated with the mild neglect of a stray dog… I guess I couldn’t compete with the blonde woman for business to the point I wasn’t even asked if I needed help or if I wanted to handle anything… Which is unfortunate because I been collecting guns for many years and who knows there might have been a few things that caught my eye… I don’t know like a M1A that was hanging on the wall or the Glock 42 that was in the used case. Either way, I guess a gun shop who is willing to ask me if I need help is at least one step closer to getting my money when a shiny object catches my eye… Because even us short, scruffy, tattooed people can have a job to buy«goods» and function in society, hard to believe but it’s true

If this place was run with a bit more ethic and moral it would be a very nice gun shop, that being said… Pros — very large selection. — clean bathrooms. — nice selection of knives. Cons — price gouging on .22lr ammo and all other ammo as well. — everything is more expensive than every other shop in town. — no price matching. — staff is for the most part neither courteous or friendly. — most common accessories are not instock(you can get a Magpul phone case though). — getting the staff to actually help on a purchase aside from a firearm is damn near impossible. Save your cash and go to that awesome shop in Granger or Goshen!

Sometimes good selection, but a lot of the salespeople have attitudes and the manager, Rockko, is the WORST! Prices tend to be high and they will LOWBALL you if want to sell a gun! Midwest THINKS they are the only game in town but Rural King in Niles, MI is selling guns as of Oct, 7, 2013!!! ************************UPDATE:7−29−13 These guys should be arrested for price gouging!!! I was in here the other day and they are asking $ 5.99FOR A BOXOF50 Remington .22 cal. THUNDERBOLTS… No, this is NOT a misprint! …$ 5.99FOR A BOXOF50 Remington .22 cal. THUNDERBOLTS… …and a 500 round brick is $ 59.99!!! A box of 50 Thunderbolts is $ 1.79 on sale at Dunham’s when they have it in stock. I would rather a store tell me they are sold out of an item instead of PRICEGOUGING their loyal customers when they think they can get away with it!!! When this gun/ammo panic is over(and it WILL end) I’ll remember Midwest Gun Exchange taking advantage of a bad situation!!!

Place is quite large, selection is quite good. Unfortunately their pricing is quite high, and their staff is average. They appear to be commission based, by which i mean they are quite eager to sell you a gun, but not so helpful with ammo, accessories, or if you are simply browsing. All in all not terrible, but nothing special either.
