I lived here with another woman for a few months, alone for a few months, then with my husband for a few months. Despite our proximity to Main Street, I always feel like I’m in a neighborhood. From every window in my townhouse, all I can see are trees, other red brick apartment buildings, and some cars; it’s very pleasant. It feels like a kid-friendly, pet-friendly area. In terms of service — all of the staff have always been kind and professional, even if they don’t always respond right away. They seem to be a smallish group for such a large community.

Place is going downhill fast. Used to be an apartment I was proud of and recommended to friends, but management has taken a turn for the worse and they will nickel and dime you on your way in & out! I spent a year here and really enjoyed it at the beginning. Staff was courteous, maintenance guys were prompt and friendly and the neighborhood was cheerful & safe. The fenced-in backyards were perfect for my golden lab/husky and there were plenty of friendly dog-walkers in the mornings and evenings. Hope they can somehow manage to build back up to this level. Since January 2015 or thereabouts, maintenance became painfully slow, it took 3 months for my dishwasher to finally get fixed and my screen door was never looked at even after I moved out in May! When I decided to move, head manager piled on fee after fee and I ended up writing an addition four checks, each one I thought was the last of them. What finally tipped over the scale was when the head manager fined me for a light oil spot on the carpet — carpet which was already 5 years old and the maintenance guys said would have to be completely replaced before the next tenant anyways! The fine wasn’t exorbitant, but a clear smack in the face and left a very bitter taste in my mouth as I ended my time at Williamsburg. In all, I really hope management will refocus on people and not petty profit as it already is a higher priced apartment complex as is. I didn’t mind paying the extra when staff was timely and efficient, but based on this experience, I’m glad I got out when I did!

My husband and I recently moved out of Williamsburg after living here for three-and-a-half years. This apartment community is absolutely charming, and I wouldn’t recommend any place else. The staff(especially Josh!), are incredibly friendly, and the maintenance team is pretty prompt and unobtrusive. Not once during our stay here has a maintenance worker barged into our apartment uninvited. If for some reason they need to enter your home, you will be given a notice at your door a day or two in advance. And yes, upon move out, they do go over your carpet with a black light, and they do make that very clear as they go over the lease with you before you even move in. Also, this community is very pet friendly, which is a major plus. Additionally, it is overall quiet and extremely safe. You can find many individuals out walking their dogs late into the evening. I miss living here. This was a very memorable part of my life. Thank you, Williamsburg!

I lived here for 4 years and lived it. It’s a really great place if you have pets because they have fenced yards. I enjoyed walks around the complex, It’s really rare to find an apartment complex that you can comfortably walk around. There’s a lot of pretty pond views. I would of stayed but I got married moved because of that. The apartments are nice, basic layout. I had a 2-bdm. My mom also lived there and she had the townhouse which was really nice because it had a fireplace and washer and dryer. She also really enjoyed living there. The staff was great and it was a real close community feel. I actually knew my neighbors and we looked out for each other. The maintenance was also very nice and prompt. The location was perfect, and we never had any security issues there. Anytime there was crime the staff would send out a letter. They even held community meetings and self defence courses there. I rented a lot of apartments in my life so far this is one of my favorites. If they ever changed to co-op or condos I’d get one in a.heartbeat.

Avoid like the plague. I have been renting apartments all over the country for more than 10 years now and this place is worst I’ve seen. The location and the grounds are nice, however due to their regular inspections and policies you never feel like its your home. You can’t place anything outside because it ruins the way things look so you use or decorate your own patio. Upon move out they are requiring me to pay them $ 750 because they went over the carpet with a black light and could see some urine stains event though they already charged me for carpet cleaning. The carpet was brand new and all it needed was a shampoo and the only reason I didn’t shampoo it myself was because they were already charging me for it. I was moving out due to a family emergency and had to break my lease and even though I paid all of the lease breakage fees and all the rent they required($ 1500+) it is not enough for them. I have been a property manager myself and never have I seen anything like this before. The policies and company are horrible and I would never under any circumstances recommend living here to anyone.
