Angela Kung Acupuncture Clinic

I’ve been meaning to write this review for over a year now. Dr. Sheryl Martin is incredible. She helped me through a very tough pregnancy during which time I was plagued with sciatica, pubis dysfunction syndrome, pregnancy rash, and problems with my shoulder. She gave me amazing relief from my symptoms and helped keep me pain and irritation free for most of my pregnancy. Most of all, she’s incredibly knowledgeable and believes in educating her patience about proper posture, the benefits of herbs, etc. The office is an oasis — at least it was for this full time working mom with a toddler at home and a baby on the way. Thank you, Sheryl! You are the best!

Angela Kung is the first acupuncturist I have ever seen. She was recommended to me by my doctor and I wasn’t sure what to expect when I visited her. The office is very nice and has a spa-​like feel. I was immediately relaxed and glad I had made the appointment. Angela’s style of accupuncture includes not only the needle part but also a therapy session to see why you are presenting the problems you have. That was super helpful and I have learned to relax more and I can catch myself if I feel the old habits creeping in. I had a significant amount of hair loss on the right side of my head. Angela has been helping me through acupuncture and energy work and I can finally say that it is working! I am re-​growing hair and I couldn’t be happier. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone and everyone. She is amazing and so are the other ladies in her office that do accupuncture. Angela also offers skin care and massage therapy. I love that too. It’s a one stop shop and that makes me very happy.
My daughter who was diagnosed with PCOS also sees Angela. Through Angela’s care my daughter has started having regular menstrual cycles naturally which she hasn’t been able to do without medication in years.

Dr. Sheryl Martin is so wonderful. She is kind and compassionate, and her knowledge is both in Chinese and Japanese medicine. Not only does she practice, she used to teach at the school she graduated from. She is full of information, and I just can’t praise her enough.

Angela is an amazing listener. She hears your lifestyle and health struggles and besides tailoring the acupuncture session to your needs, she also makes recommendations on how to make lifestyle improvements. She treats holistically.

A previous acupuncture experience at a chiropractors office did not work well for me. Put me off trying another clinic for quite some time. But my inner self told me that acupuncture would work for my emotional and occasional physical problems. Working through the internet I came upon Angela’s page and instantly felt a good vibe. Even more so when reading her bio I found we had a connection from many years previously. Serendipity undoubtedly! Long story short, I’ve been coming for several months now and found Angela’s caring and compassionate demeanour has helped me uncover and address many aspects of myself that were holding me back in my life.
As I try to rid my body of doctor-​prescribed allopathic medication, other little concerns show up, and I find that Angela knows instantly the right words to use and the right modality to address those issues. Along with carefully considered acupuncture techniques, Angela also uses energy healing and TCM — it’s amazing how it all works synergistically! I’m not perfect yet — a journey worth taking means stopping along the way to absorb and understand what the journey is trying to tell you. Sometimes you do hit that proverbial bump in the road. But I have no doubt that Angela will help me find the way over that bump.
It would be amiss of me not to mention Ashley, the spa’s receptionist. Yes, I said spa because, well, that’s the way it feels — Instant calm, with herbal tea, fresh water and a jar of chocolates — I love a little treat! Ashley is always charming, polite, calm and caring. A definite asset to this wonderful clinic.
I’ll keep coming as long as I need to!

I highly recommend Angela Kung Acupuncture for reasons but, primarily because a health problem is being mended. Over time I have experienced relief of chronic foot pain and acupuncture is the only remedy I have tried over five years that is working. Additionially, Angela Kung is professional and her staff is very friendly. You will be satisfied with Angela Kung! Her office is very warm and inviting as well!

I was treated for pulling out my lower back, I could barely sit in a car. I am recovering nicely I and would recommend this practice for acupuncture. The office is beautiful and very calming and everyone is very friendly and professional. Cheryl is an amazing acupuncturist.

I have been seeing the skillful Dr. Sheryl Martin at the Angela Kung clinic for several months now. She has taken the time to educate me on acupuncture and Chinese medicine. I always learn something new on each visit. My condition has improved since treatment has begun. I recommend this clinic to anyone seeking this type of treatment.

This review is LONG overdue! I started bringing my 6 year old daughter to Angela after I was referred to her by a parent I met at a children’s chess night event. My daughter suffered from chronic lung problems (pneumonia, bronchitis, lung infections, etc.). I was so desperate that I was willing to try ANYTHING! Unfortunately my daughter was so used to being probed & poked (allergy back scratch test done more than once) that a few needles (I told her they were just like skinny silver toothpicks) weren’t nothing compared to what she’s been through. Angela is so gentle — my daughter actually falls into a deep sleep at every treatment!!!
Within a few months there were noticeable improvements! She was no longer getting sick as much and her demeanor improved. Not only did the actual acupuncture treatments help but the herb regimen that Angela put my daughter on really made a difference!
At the time we started with Angela my insurance did not cover the visits so I paid out of pocket for over 2 years! Angela REALLY worked with me and we came up w/​a reasonable price that would fit my budget! I have since switched insurance companies and now my insurance covers up to 24 treatments a year per family member!
I can’t tell you how blessed we feel that Angela is a part of our lives! Now I have been seeing her for my issues and now I am an acupuncture feign! Angela has an UH-​MAZING touch & energy that you can’t get from anywhere else! Maybe it’s the fact that she’s a direct Chinese descendant from Confucius!!! Yes this is true! Either way her treatments (energy & acupuncture) are like no other!!!
I forgot to mention that her clinic is like a Spa — Oh and it’s pet friendly too!

While getting my hair styled amongst a flurry of noticeable emotions, my hairdresser told me about Angela. Immediately, I called her! Unable to describe the emotional rollercoaster I was on through the tears, she instantly began to calm me and scheduled me into her busy calendar the next day.
From the first day on, Angela’s passion for healing and wellness is apparent and begins as you enter her office. From the relaxing and soothing environment to her wonderful staff (including Charlie), you feel welcomed and a sense of calmness enters your soul.

This acupuncture clinic is the best! I went to Erin, and she is AMAZING. I highly recommend her and anyone at this clinic. Erin was incredible ~ put me at ease right away and was the sweetest person I’ve ever met. Acupuncture in general can be a little uncomfortable, but Erin always relaxed me. Highly recommend acupuncture and Erin at this clinic for any fertility needs or anxiety or anything else. My results were amazing and instant!

Angela has been treating my teenage granddaughter for two years. Angela has been key element in grandaughter’s road to maturity. She is caring with the right amount of ‘take responsibility for what you do’ mentality. She is using a combination of counseling, energy work and acupunture as treatments. I see significant progress.
My teenager loves seeing her every week. From my perspective, there is something very real and tangible that happens between them.

It was a blessing to find Angela a few months ago. I had been to other acupuncturists in the past that were ok but did nothing to give me an overall sense of wellness. I have found she puts in the time with her patients so they have balance along with healing. I have nothing but great things to write about concerning Angela Kung and Charlie (Angela’s small dog)
There are very few health practitioners out there that are genuinely caring and involved as Angela is with the patients under her care.
Other Unilocaler’s have said she is «phenomenal» and «excellent». I most certainly agree.
Acupuncture is inexplicably but undeniably effective. Western medicine can’t explain why it works, but Dr. Kung will show you that it does.
Acupuncture needles are microscopically thin and I can hardly feel anything when they are placed just under the surface of your skin. Trust me. Occasionally, a needle may cause a minor pain, but even that feels like a light rubber band snap to the wrist. A pittance compared to how much better you feel after the treatment is complete.
I would highly recommend Angela Kung to my family and friends looking for an alternative to Western medical treatments for pain, stress, etc.

Angela is an excellent acupuncturist. I’ve been to her clinic twice now, and she is easy on the needle insertion (just a little prick) and is very affordable. $ 80 for the initial consultation and $ 60 for every treatment afterwards. Some places I looked into were charged $ 120+ for the initial consultation; that just wasn’t happening! The office is very quiet and relaxing; you can fall asleep while getting treatment; God knows I do! Angela is very personable and more than willing to get to the bottom of what ails you. Give her a try!

Angela is a phenomenal acupuncturist who’s passion for healing and wellness is evident. I felt instantly relaxed with her and her office is a serene and tranquil environment for deep relaxation and healing. She has helped me tremendously on my own personal journey to healing and balance.

Angela has a unique acupuncture style that incorporates both acupuncture and therapeutic massage. The ambiance of her office is relaxing and calming. She is completely accommodating and capable with any condition. I visit her a couple times a month to maintain my overall wellness. She is affordable and takes insurance.
