HORRIBLE! THEWORST! GOANYWHEREELSE! BOTH of my son’s AFOs broke just 5 months after we finally received them. Fountain refused to fix them, telling us we need new braces. Despite being really unhappy about the poor quality of the first AFO’s, we went ahead and had him refitted and ordered new AFO’s. We were told that they’d(Fountain) call us when they were received from the lab and that it would take about two weeks. A month and a half later, with my son in pain and trying to manage wearing his broken AFO’s, I called Fountain to ask what the status is. They told me that the lab’s «backed up» and they haven’t received them yet.(Thanks for calling us, Fountain!) My best guess is that they never ordered them. Now ANOTHER month later, Fountain STILL doesn’t have my son’s leg braces. Bottom line: If you like quality braces, do NOT go to Fountain. If you like professional service do NOT go to Fountain. If you like prompt and timely service, do NOT go to Fountain.

I was referred to this location in Fall of 2014 by a podiatrist for prescription prosthetic insoles. Upon making the appointment(service date: Oct 13, 2014) I was told my insurance coverage would be verified, apparently it never was because over 1 year after the service I received a bill in the mail(bill dated: Oct 30, 2015) for $ 449.46. Upon contacting their billing department I was told my insurance had refused to pay and after I followed up with my insurance I found out, rather easily, it was based on the fact that I was not diabetic. In December 2015, FV O&P did offer an opportunity to settle for a little more than half that amount($ 270). But seeing how I don’t have $ 270 laying around, I followed their advice and contacted my insurance company and filed an appeal. Unfortunately, since they waited almost a year after to notify me of my insurance’s denial(the insurance denied the claim on Nov 5, 2014) my insurance company refuses to evaluate the appeal based on a 180 day window from the original date of the denial of service. I have informed FV O&P that I have no intention of paying either the $ 450 or the lowered $ 270 because THEYFAILED to properly verify my insurance and they are welcome to send me to collections. Beware. This office deceived me and led me to believe that my insurance covered the services they were about to render.

I was ready for an hour visit, but 30 min later I’m done. I love it when they are ready for you, have some paperwork to fill out ready to go, and when they are pleasant and kind it just makes going to yet another office worth it. Hopefully my night splint will help my foot issue and I won’t have to return. But if I do, I know it won’t be a hassle. Thanks again for your help! Wendie
