While we like the product, their installers are not very good. When we had the repair man come he fixed the items we wanted, but were told that he does not do the sanding or painting for mounting rail. When you pay over a thousand dollars for new closet doors you expect a complete job. Not the case with these folks.

Frist of all I will say that I love my new doors. The technology that HomeStory used was fantastic. The doors fit perfect and as promised there was absolutely no mess. The installers, Nathan and Nathan, were professional and very concerned that I was happy with my Doors.
I also feel that they are lucky to have Julie in their office to try and take care of frustrated costumers as myself. Other than those items I have nothing positive to say about this company. They are very disorganized, have no idea what each department is doing, have a terrible bookkeeping system and I feel that their management team is a big problem. I had to fight for the price that was quoted to me in order to get the final bill correct. I think in the end they just wanted to get rid of me calling and be done with the entire job. Unfortunately I do not recommend this company, which is too bad for a lot of good people working for them. Other companies are using the same technology and I would advise getting a real comparison. They may be working on their problems, but I am not sure they have been able to do it yet.

We had interior doors installed throughout the house about a year ago and they are beautiful. Scheduling was easily accomplished and the length of time between measurements and installation was exactly as promised. The installation staff was very good, efficient and polite. One of the doors didn’t fit properly and an installer returned to adjust it. We were quite pleased with the service, quality and aesthetic enhancement of our home. Just this morning, a year later, a crew of two returned to adjust several doors that didn’t stay closed. They made the adjustments easily and the doors latch perfectly now. As a courtesy, one of the installers even changed out a door knob for us which had nothing to do with our purchase. Seriously, we couldn’t be more pleased with our experience and would recommend Home Story without reservation.

I ordered my doors April 2 2015. Today it is July 2 2015. It’s been 3 months. I was told my doors would take 3 weeks! I have called several times and I never get a call back. When I do call they say that either there was a small issue or they are almost done. They are either lying to me or have no idea what is going on. Both cases are reason enough to stay away from this company. I’ve spoken to their highest level person and even he BS me. BS must be their corporate policy. Ridiculous. Today I finally called my credit card company to get my 50% deposit back. I’ve never in my life have ever dealt with such a bad company.

If you have patience, persistence and want beautiful new doors, this company is right for you. I first contacted Homestory in October for a price quote. They were very professional and courteous, emailing my appointment, etc. Once I made the decision to purchase, I had unanswered emails and phone calls, bad final quotes that I had to call on multiple times. When my sales person didn’t get back to me, I called the office, only to be told they would leave a message for the salesman. I finally had an appointment to measure 3 weeks later.
I was told it would be 3 – 4 weeks for my doors to be finished-​only to find out that 2 of them were damaged and had to be reordered. Two months later, I have my new doors.
Installers Nathan and Nathan (?) were very professional, clean and fast. It took them 1 hour to install all 6 interior doors. The technology that Homestory uses is amazing, as the fit was perfect.
I must say that I was about ready to cancel my order, but I’m so glad that I didn’t. Everyone who sees them, is impressed. I will recommend Homestory, but with the above warnings.

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!
Worst customer service I have ever received. After waiting 6 weeks for the doors to come in they came to instal without the railing for one door; after going around to check their work I find that the master bedroom rail is too short and they squeezed extra cocking to cover it up. They also broke the wood molding around the door that was not to be touched!
When I complained they had to come back again to fix the second issue and said they would pay for the broken molding.
In the end the still charged the credit card full price! After being given the run around;
I told them I want my old doors put back and I WILL NEVER EVER use their company again!

I contacted HomeStory about replacing sliding closet doors. Justin came, took measurements and we discussed options. He said that he would email me an estimate. I never heard from him, so I called the office and left a message. Then I got an email from him, asking me what options we had discussed. I answered, but never got an estimate. I called the office and set up another appointment and this time TJ came. The same thing happened. It’s now 11 days since he was here. Their competitors, Sliding Door Company and Interior Door & Closet, gave me emails on the spot. Are the people at HomeStory flakes or are they not in the door business and just trying to get into homes for some purpose? This certainly doesn’t speak to their professionalism. I guess I’m lucky that they didn’t take a deposit and then disappear.

This was a big mistake I ordered doors in Dec. finally in late March after several delays and no communication they arrived with the doors only to find all were defective and had to be returned paint line running down the middle.
The installation people were great their only saving grace.
The communication in the office terrible. I was told via e-​mail by the G. M I would receive a call in 3 – 4 days from him regarding the ETA for the new doors the call never came. I sent an e-​mail no reply. I called 5 weeks later was told the new doors came in but had to be returned and that the 3^rd order was in progress. Its now May no doors.
I have cancelled my order once again no communication no confirmation. I called again and was told they had just credited my account still waiting to verify.
With this business ethic I was afraid they would go out of business and would lose my 50% deposit. The G. M there practices very poor consumer communications.
6 months after my initial order I now have to reach out to someone else for doors.
Disappointed

The people at HomeStory are professional, friendly, and efficient. Morgan, Justin, and Nathan provided incredible customer service and were attentive to my needs and concerns as a customer. Nathan (the installer) bent over backwards to ensure the doors fit and closed properly and also looked great! I will not hesitate to recommend HomeStory to anyone I know who is in need of new doors.

I could not be more pleased with my new interior doors. They have completely changed the look of our home. Friends have come over and immediately want their number; these guys are awesome. These folks were professional, quick, clean, polite, qualified and nothing but quality — in their products and their process.
I wouldn’t miss checking them out if you’re in the market for doors. Sooooooooooooo happy we did this project and chose them to do it for us. Justin and Morgan and the entire team are the best.

Unless you want to replace all of your interior doors, DON’T call this company. They were not interested in even coming out to my home for an estimate on 1 – 2 doors. Funny how their ad does not mention a minimum order. I was told that they were not the right company for our job… Imagine that in this economy. I will keep looking for a company who would love to service my needs.

HomeStory replaced all of our interior doors and closet doors, for our 50 year old home we just purchased, which amounted to about 24 doors! I was originally going to go to a Home Depot or Lowe’s, but when I started measuring the door openings, EVERY door was a different size! I saw HomeStory’s ad in one of the local home improvement magazines and decided to give them a call. Justin came out the same day and was professional and knowledgeable. The quality of the doors (I chose solid core) was much better quality than I ever expected to have. They are beautiful! The installation took 2 days and I felt completely comfortable leaving the house with the installers inside. I would definitely recommend HomeStory to friends!

Home story replaced five interior doors in our home. It was amazing. They came out once to measure and five weeks later they installed the doors in less than an hour. They were courteous, professional and personable. They were respectful of our home and the finished product was amazing. If you want to upgrade your interior doors you need to give these guys a call.
