Nice neighborhood spot. Nothing fancy just a good dinner. Everything we have had has bern good.

I take a sip of my Cabernet Sauvignon and stare at the drizzling rain outside my window. I’m so cozy inside, surrounded by the warmth of the fresh garlic bread rolls with marinara, the Chicken Cabernet pasta, and a tomato bisque soup. This place is an absolute gem. It has become my go to place for Italian food, and they’ve never seemed to fail me throughout the years of my attendance. If you asked me for a recommendation, I would probably end up sitting here for hours trying to choose my favorite dish off the menu, or simply just advise you to choose anything, knowing that you wouldn’t leave any place short of satisfactory. Honestly, I’ve tried quite a large chunk of the menu but become so accustomed to my favorites that I haven’t been able to explore further. But let me give you a small run down of what I know, their pizzas — amazing. Cooked with fresh ingredients and prepared when you order. Always served fresh out of the oven and cooked to the perfect outer crispness and inner doughiness. Yum. BBQ chicken pizza has become my absolute go to for its harmonious balance of sweet and savory flavors. I find that BBQ pizzas else where usually tend to be too generous with the BBQ sauce, therefore, too sweet or too soggy. Here, you shouldn’t have that issue. Another pizza that I love ordering is their spicy chicken pizza for its absolute fun. It literally tastes like spicy chicken wings in pizza form! It’s fascinating to me and I never forget to have a side of ranch to dip next to me. Their pastas… I can’t give you much of the run down here because I am stuck on and completely obsessed with their chicken Cabernet pasta. If you love cream pastas like I do, it is a MUST try. The sauce is so unique and I guarantee you that you will not be able to find it elsewhere. The chicken is always moist and the farfarelle noodles, always al dente. Just please, do yourself a favor and try it before I drool over my keyboard. Haha but seriously. I’ve never been much of a salad eater, but I find their mixed green salad incredibly agreeable. Tossed with walnuts, strawberries, red onions(if I recall correctly) and balsamic vinegar. Ughh. Yes. Light, airy, delicious salad. Like I said, this place is an absolute gem. I can go on and on, but you’re missing out if you don’t even try it once.

Was craving some great pizza while on vacation so decided to try the place out. I was absolutely blown away by how great the food was! We had some pasta as well as a nice delicious pepperoni pizza. I just couldn’t stop eating after just one slice. The food was great, fantastic decorations and to top it all off the service was amazing. The owner came up multiple times and was just so friendly! Would recommend any day of the week for someone looking for great Italian cuisine!

The food is great. We order out all the time. This was our first experience eating inside. The nats will drive you nuts. If they can find a safe way to eliminate them then by all means enjoy.

This is our«go-to» for good and reasonably priced Italian food. The owner and staff are very friendly and seem to really care about customer service. We’ve tried the mama-mia(which is penne pasta with creamy marinara sauce, basil and grilled chicken), the spaghetti and meatballs, the lasagna, and the pizza(which is actually very good). While the portions are not huge, they are definitely not small either. I think you get a good amount considering the prices.

My wife and I love this restaurant. It’s small, intimate and offers incredibly good food. For a quick dinner, we often order pizzas to go, but the name of this restaurant is a bit deceiving. It’s not your average pizza parlor. The cozy atmosphere is perfect for a night out with friends to share a bottle of wine and sample their other menu items. My favorite is their Chicken Marsala and my wife loves their Salmon Salad. If you’re not careful, you can fill up on the unique Italian bread basket served with rich Marinara sauce before dinner arrives. The prices are extremely reasonable for such good food and excellent service. Dinner for both of us on average is about $ 30. Being a family restaurant, Wally, Shala and their sons bring a personal touch that is hard to find.

We’ve been twice to Sabatino in the past couple months. And I’m comfortable adding this neighborhood Italian family eatery to my list of «go-to» restaurants. This is a family owned business, with,(as I understand it), a Dad who works the kitchen and a couple sons who work the front along with non-family wait staff. Whatever the configuration… it works. On each occasion we’ve been waited on by each of the sons. And each time our service-experience was very good. I’m reviewing this as an «Italian Neighborhood Family Restaurant.» I’m not confusing it with gourmet Italian. Located in the Albertson’s Mkt. strip-mall center at Olympiad and Alicia, this small sit-down restaurant has what I feel is a well balanced Italian menu. They do an extremely active«pizza to-go» business, and seem to maintain a medium to high occupancy in the dining room on a regular basis. All that tells me that they must be doing something right, or they wouldn’t still be in business. Be prepared, when you sit down, for their FREE bread and marinara appetizer! I like it, and I’m guessing you will too. I usually don’t care for marinara sauces. But their sauce, at least to me, tastes«developed.» It’s not a bland red sauce, but an Italian«non-meat» sauce that holds it’s own. Couple that with the puffy garlic bread rolls, and you’ve got something that, without will-power on your part, could ruin your appetite! :-) We’ve done two different pasta entrees, and one of their pizzas. We’ve liked everything we ordered. My recommendation is to simply go to their website and check out the menu.( ) I like the atmosphere, the relaxed attitude, and most certainly the food. When one reviewer says, «Best experience ever», and another says, «The food was unimpressive…», I allow for what may be a bit of «restaurant inconsistency», and hope that the greater majority’s voice will be our experience. So judging Sabatino based on our visits to other(similar) neighborhood Italian eateries… I’m going with a solid and comfortable 4 out’a 5 stars.

We have been going to this restaurant for many years. Family atmosphere. I had the Chicken Sabatino w/au gratin potatoes… excellent! My husband had spaghetti and meat sauce which was really good. The rolls they serve when you sit down are great but we always order the garlic cheese bread — yummy. Salad is enough to share especially the Cesar or the house salad. At least one of the owners there all the time. Roger and Elaine

We found Sabatino’s through 4 years ago. It has become one of our favorite restaurants to dine at. The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly. It is a family owned business and when we walk in they always greet us and make a point to stop by our table and say hello. Try the pizza and lasagna, and you will love the rolls and marinara sauce they bring to your table.

Okay so I came here to order pizzas to go and the sweet man that owns the restaurant gave me water and garlic bread while I waited. We talked about life and how he needs to hire people! I don’t live in the area but if I did I would love to work in such a loving fun atmosphere! Also AMAZINGPIZZA Thank you again!

We got pickup from here for dinner tonight because we are having some work done to our kitchen. We got their large meat lovers pizza for my Brother and chicken parm and greek salad for my Mom and I. When I was ordering the chicken parm I asked if I could have salad instead of pasta with it, but the lady on the phone didn’t understand my order and said that the chicken parm came with pasta. So I just got the chicken parm with the pasta and the greek salad separate. I guess you can’t make any kind of substitutions here. My Mom went to do some errands and pick up our food. Our food came hot. I served myself the chicken, greek salad and a piece of bread. My Mom said the spaghetti was really good so I took a little bit of that too. The salad was good, fresh and crisp. The bread was dry and seemed stale. I didn’t finish the bread, I put it back. Bread is no good. The chicken was a bit over breaded. The cheese on it was good though. Surprisingly the spaghetti was the best thing on my plate. I even got a little bit more. There was a perfect amount of meaty sauce. Just a good convenient dinner.

The food here is consistently good. Take out orders are quick, accurate, and packaged really well with foil to hold the heat in. I have had 5 – 10 meals here in the past few months and they have all been really good. I only order take out so this isn’t a review for the dining room or service. Highly recommended.

Sabatino has the best pizza that I’ve had in a long time! I ordered takeout on Friday night to pick up on my way home from work. They told me it would be ready in about a half hour which was perfect. When I got to the restaurant, it was around 6pm. The restaurant was busy but clean inside. The staff was friendly. I ordered the spicy buffalo chicken pizza which was to die for! I also ordered the spaghetti and meatballs which was also tasty. Luckily I only live about 15 minutes from here because I will be ordering takeout again soon!

Stopped by after hiking at Trabuco Canyon– we were the only customers there. Ordered pizza and Greek salad with couple of beers. Peroni was nice and cold but waited and waited for the salad only to ask again and finally getting the pizza– no salad. So at this point we said just forget the salad please as were hungry and wanted to get on a road. The owner(I assume) came out after with a salad on the house(thank you for that) and said that the person we ordered form was on his 1st shift. The food was pretty good– fresh salad, and the BBQ chicken pizza crust very good little too heavy on the BBQ sauce. However, to me quality of a restaurant comes 50⁄50 between service and food. The person should not be dealing with customers if he cannot remember two things. He should be properly trained and write things down, and/or follow someone and get familiar with a menu. To spend an hour for pizza and salad when you are the only tale there is absolutely unacceptable.

It’s another Groupon Fail! Stopped by on a Tuesday night, ordered to go and it was all so meh. Order: Calzone, Spaghetti and Meatballs and Greek Salad. Hubby’s calzone was large but he said very disappointing in the flavor department, along with the marinara. My spaghetti & meatballs were more a lunch size portion with 3 tiny meatballs and there was no choice sauce-wise but marinara and it was all just meh, and then overpriced for the size. The greek salad was large, but just a bunch of lettuce, with the tomato/cucumber/olives/onion and feta thrown a bit on top and zero mozzarella. This salad comes(per their menu) with Italian dressing, but I got O/V. Staff was nice and friendly to me, but I can’t eat that small bit of niceness. They’ve been around a bit, in same spot and décor, etc. appeared nice and clean, but the restaurant was empty when I ordered and empty when I came back to pick up my food to go. I found it a bit strange to only have the marinara sauce option and not a meat option, but no biggie as I doubt the meat sauce would have been any better. With so many Italiano options to choose from, it’s doubtful we’d do a return visit.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while… Thanks to searching Unilocal for delivery restaurants. They dont deliver where I live, but looking at the menu had me wanting to try them. Last week I got an email for an Amazon Local deal for $ 12 for $ 24 worth of food. DONE! I went for dinner last night with a friend of mine who had been there before. We arrived around 5:15 and sat in a corner table. There was only one other table filled at the time. They turned on some music, and the speaker was right above our table, and it was pretty loud. In the beginning, we had too much service. Two people asking for our drink order. Two people asking for our food order. In the end, we had zero service. We waited a while after being done for our check, then had to ask for it. Then we had to ask for them to take the credit cards. People who came in after us had eaten, paid and left while we still waited for our bill. The food was really good. The garlic knots were good — cooked perfectly — and the marinara sauce was ok. I ordered the Chicken Picatta, and I really enjoyed it. The plate was very oily, so I think the sauce had too much oil, but it was very flavorful. For a side salad and entrée, my total with tip was about $ 18.
