Great Clips

Went in for a simple side shave and cut and ended with no other way of wearing my hair other then a pony tail or off to the side and even then it looks like my hair was cut by a 6year old. I was only asked if I wanted layers which I said no then the «hairstyles» started cutting and didn’t ask any other questions until the damage was already done. When my hair is parted on the shave you can see very clearly that my hair from my ear and forward is on an odd slant and SHORTER then the rest of my hair! I’m a nice person and didn’t want to be rude but Lauren should have asked more questions before cutting my hair I love the shave part and is why I’m giving a two starts and not one.

Sharlee is amazing and so are many of the other girls there. I have been going to Sharlee for about a year and I have 7 family and friends that use her too… she’s just that good! Some of us have very difficult hair to cut that are thick, curly, have cowlicks, or need a good fade. She can do it all. It’s also impossible to find someone who can razor cut hair and she can. Definitely a gem in this place! We have also used Sarah, Lauren, and Corita and they have all given us fantastic service. Definitely worth the deal!

Sharlee cut my hair, she has cut my hair for years. She did a awesome job. Very friendly and superb customer service. Great Value !

Corita is unbelievable. She did my grtgrandsons hair (Hosmer cut) while I waited for her. The next time in I was in a hurry. I wanted Corita so chose to wait. I had him done by another person. When we returned to the car he said I wish I could have had Corita. She is a keeper.

I wish i could give no stars, this location is horrible i came in for a hair cut i even had a picture of what i wanted. My hair was butchered so bad. I couldn’t tell what it looked like until i got home and flat ironed my hair. There flat iron was broken and after 20 mins of her running a cold iron through my hair and many banging of the flat iron on the counter and it still wouldn’t get even warm i decided to leave and straighten it myself at home well i did and was in tears it looked like a 5 yr old cut my hair. I had to go to another great clips to get it fixed. I refused to go back there after the first time i just didn’t feel comfortable with that. The staff is not very friendly at all they seemed like they didnt even want to be bothered. So i recommended going to a different one if you want a good hair cut. If you want a shaved head then they would probably do ok with that. I am not one to write reviews i just don’t want anyone else going through what i did here.

You get what you pay for!

Lauren did a great job! She was super friendly and knowledgeable. The place was clean and inviting. Got a great cut at a great price. I would recommend this place.

The other night I decided I NEEDED a haircut. I keep hearing ads about checking in online and wow, am I glad I did. I am surrounded by several close locations and many of them had an hour wait, but this location had NO WAIT at all. I was able to check in online very easily with my smart phone and they were ready for me when I got there.
While it might not be my favorite haircut ever, I really did like Amy who cut my hair. I take much of the blame this time as I was very tired and feeling a little brain dead, so I didn’t give her very much direction. She got a couple of things wrong, but they were my personal preference not anything she did technically wrong.
I’m glad she didn’t talk my ear off. There was another stylist there that was blab, blab, blab at full volume and I don’t care for that at all… especially when you are discussing your honeymoon «activities» with some guy. Gross.

Went here to fix a mediocre haircut I’d received at an expensive salon. Megan was absolutely phenomenal — professional, knowledgeable and friendly. She spoke well of her workplace and their oversight system that ensures customers get great haircuts. I’m sold.
I ranked ⁴⁄₅ because what is saved in price is lost in ambiance… which is to be expected at a quick-​cut place like this. For me, the service more than merited the $ 14 price tag. I personally don’t mind foregoing lemon water and scented candles if it means I still get great service and a great haircut at a very reasonable price!

Super friendly and super good looking hair stylists all the way around! :o) They give excellent, inexpensive, and quick haircuts. A+++

Sometimes these quick service franchise hair salons can be scary, but I’ve had two cuts here now and have been really impressed by this location.
First, its cleaner than most other Great Clips I’ve been to over the years, not globs of hair all over the floor and magazines everywhere. The staff ranges from veterans to what I think are recent beauty school grads, but they are all very nice and seem to know what they’re doing. Not always the norm at these low service/​low cost kind of salons.
I go for the scissor cut (old school) and neither of the stylists had an issue doing that for me. And, unlike some other walk-​in salons, they knew what they were doing. Seems like some stylists are afraid to use scissors and love the clipper cut.
One other thing, you can now check in online and either find out how long the wait is or put your name on the list. That saves the intolerable wait that sometimes comes with going to a hair joint like this.
I love a luxurious full service cut with a massage and shampoo and all that, but I don’t think I’d come out looking any better at one of those establishments than I did coming out of this Great Clips.

I am a man, our haircut cannot possibly be that complicated. I get a 6 guard on top usually and a 3 around the back and side. I have been to this «Great» clips three times. I will not go anymore.
Each time, I had to come home and re-​cut my own hair, yes it was that bad.
After they cut your hair, they don’t offer to rinse off the cut hair… nothing.
The ONLY reason I go to that Great Clips is because it’s the only one I know of that is open when I can go.
They do accept competitors coupons, but, GO TO THE COMPETITOR.

Needed a haircut and decided that the $ 6.99 deal was hard to pass up. I figured you get what you pay for but was willing to try Great Clips out for ¹⁄₃ of what I have been spending at an Aveda salon.
Went on a Sunday morning and only had to wait about 5 minutes. Instead of being an experience, it felt like an assembly line. (I had read on the Internet before going that stylists are trained to spend 13 minutes maximum per client and oftentimes can do 70 haircuts per day).
During the haircut I might as well have been a manikin. The stylists do not talk to the clients at all – they only talk amongst themselves. I found it really interesting that the stylists were openly bashing earlier clients. The majority of the stylists look like they just got out of beauty school; the older stylists just look like they hate life in general. One of the stylists mentioned that she was frustrated and had to call up and «b*tched out her grandmother» because she was on the boat (figured out this was slang for casinos) and didn’t have time to babysit so the stylist could go booze it up with her friends.
When my stylist (member of the hate life crowd) started to put her equipment away, I exclaimed «uh, the right side has a lot more hair on it than the left side.» Oh, she grunted and grabbed her scissors again and started wacking away WAYYYY to fast.
If you are feeling lucky, go to «the boat” – not Great Clips. You probably have a better chance of winning in the casinos than getting a great hair cut.
