Had items stolen by housekeeping and the hotel refused to even listen to me. Manager Mr Williamson didn’t even care and seemed like he had better things to do. Hotel is alright for the location but beware of your belongings with these people.

Very clean, very new fixtures, friendly staff. I only stayed one day, but I would absolutely return. All the expected Hampton Inn features are here(i.e. free breakfast, nice beds, mini fridge in room). There is a little suite shop for snacks. I will mention that I had problems connecting to the internet. I was connected at first, but then I lost connection and wasn’t able to gain it back. I think I was having an IP address conflict and the router needed to be reset. I called the front desk, but the staffer wasn’t sure how to fix it and a manager wasn’t available. There is a small business center with two machines, and the gym was above average for a Hampton. I didn’t get to use it, but it was near my room. There were several newer looking treadmills and ellipticals. Also there was an exercise ball, but I’m not sure if there were weights. One thing to note is there was a train nearby. I am an easy sleeper, but you might want to know that in case you are sensitive. I don’t know how late it runs, but I hear it as late as 11 pm for sure.

Nix the part about the great value.. . they just increased their rates to over $ 100/nt(they lose a star for this).

This hotel is recently renovated and very nice. Check-in was very fast and the room was great. The breakfast was well stocked(waffles, omelets, danish, cereal, etc). The hotel is not far from downtown KC. Only two cons I had were the close proximity to an active railroad, which we heard ever 2 hours or so and the elevator is on the front of the building instead of the center and carrying bags with no rollers was a little cumbersome.
