Probably the best pizza joint I’ve been to this year! I normally wait to write a review until I’ve gone a few times but I’m only in town for short while so I will keep the faith that his place is always as good as our experience was this time. Came with the wife and some friends. Service was A++. Within a minute of sitting out server had greeted us very personally and had our drinks out shortly after. Through the whole lunch, our server was clearing empty plates and ensuring we had everything g we needed without going into that area where you just want them to leave you alone so you can eat. The food was OMG good. Started it with their version of some Parmesan bread which came out soft and warm with the perfect balance of garlic and other seasoning. Even better was the freshly made marinara that came with it. Following the bread they brought out a salad with olive Oil and some kind of balsamic vinaigrette dressing. We finished off with the important part, our Margarita Pizza! Everything tasted so fresh! We also had prosciutto on it which for me have it that mm wow factor. All in all, this place is the perfect lunch or dinner time gig. I would suggest this place anytime someone said lets get Italian.

So far I’ve ordered a slice of Margherita and the baked ziti. Both were good for the valley!

Great place to eat at. The server was very attentive. Both booths and tables were available. The pizza tasted great even though they are huge. The restaurant was clean. I didn’t see any downside. A nice place to chill out at and have some good pizza.

Great atmosphere but even a greater selection of beer and wine. Happy hours for wine on Wednesday’s all day. We ordered a Large Italian Works and it fed 4 of us. Very tasty and flavorful. The crust was cooked to perfection and crunchy with every bite. I hope this place does well and I Will definitely return when I’m back in town.

Take the drive to N McAllen. This location seems to be completely disassociated with the other.

I am a teacher at University of Phoenix in Mission, and I teach from 6−10pm, which means most times I don’t have time to grab something to each from the time I get out of work at 5, drive to the school, and start class. A few weeks ago, a manager from Russo’s came to the campus to introduce himself to use, bring us some menus, and provide us with some specials specific to our campus. I’ve now ordered from here twice for dinner, and it’s been a good experience. They deliver during my break at a time specified by me, and they’re always on time. The food has been correct, hot, and tasty both times. I will definitely be ordering from here again. Thanks for making it possible to have a good dinner, at a good price, and in limited time.

Went with friends on Wed. It is much more upscale than most of the pizza places around our area. Attractive seating. Very quiet. Large menu. Great choice of beer. Salads were crisp & tasty. I had the Mediterranean & the balsamic vinegar dressing was just perfect. The pizza was freshly made to order, very tasty. I want to go back again soon to try the Eggplant Parmesan.

Note: This review is from my visit and experience 3 months ago. Haven’t been back since so things may have changed. Since I usually go the the North McAllen location, I was curious to try this location out. My girlfriend and I were on our way to Charlie Clark Nissan to pick up some license plates and before we hit the road, we figured this was a good place to eat. Once we got seated and we placed our orders, we noticed that this location had a much different atmosphere than the North McAllen one. It was a more casual, loud atmosphere. Chili’s or Applebees comes to mind as a comparison. This is in contrast to the NM location where it’s more tranquil with it’s ambiance and customers that it attracts. The food was roughly the same as my girlfriend and I are accustomed to at the NM location. She ordered the eggplant and I ordered a calzone. The difference could have been attributed to the something as simple as a different, inexperienced cook making the food. Who knows. All I know is that the food wasn’t bad, just not as good as I’ve had. Then again, that’s a subjective opinion with the deciding factor being ones taste buds. There were 4 kids running around the restaurant when I was there and when I asked our waiter if they could tell their parents to keep their kids in check he simply replied they were about to leave because they just paid. They left about 15 minutes later. While not to sound like a grouch because kids are playing, these children were at times playing around with the tables, laughing running around moving chairs and in/out of the restaurant. Also, they were around 12−14yrs old. The parents(assuming they were, they looked like 2 couples), were just sitting there in their own world not paying any attention to them. It was extremely annoying to say the least. Also, disappointed a manager/staff member didn’t or was too afraid to tell their parents something. I would have expected as much from Chucky Cheese or Peter Piper, but not here. Just for the record, I wasn’t the only customer to complain. Overall, I’ll give Russo’s a solid 3 stars. It would have been 4 but the staff not willing to keep the restaurant in order showed a lot about their care for other customers satisfaction. Aside from that, the food was fairly good for what we ordered and so was the attentiveness of our waiter.
