got lucky and was able to get in the same day with a master stylist named Erica. I showed her four pictures of what I wanted and she gave me the best cut I have ever had and i am super picky when it comes to my hair. The owner named Cindy greeted me with a genuine and sweet smile. I love the atmosphere and customer service. the pricing is more than what a guy would pay for but its worth it because i got exactly what i wanted. I highly recommend this salon.

Lauren turned my ugly, messed up highlighted hair into a beautiful highlight and color that was EXACTLY what I wanted! She listened intently on the type of blonde I wanted to be — not full blonde, but just the right dimension of blonde and some low lights. She did phenomenal!!! And the price is right on target for what you’d expect to pay for highlight lowlight and cut. I moved from Maryland 2.5 years ago and have been bouncing from place to place trying to find a stylist who can give me that blonde mix that I had back in Maryland for 10 years. I finally found Lauren due to a couple of posts on Unilocal,and I’m so grateful for those posts, which is why I’m giving my review as well! If you’re struggling finding a good stylist, I can tell you Lauren will listen and do a fabulous job!

My hair was a hot mess, overprocessed, dehydrated, golden mixed with Ash, too white, it was just horrible blonde. Lauren Galle basically gave me a new head of hair, she truly is a blonde expert and I feel so much better about my hair now! The salon is really comfortable, super cute, and from start to finish the whole experience is amazing. If you’re blonde you need to see Lauren ASAP!

I first visited Sopra on a walk in basis to get my son’s Cali boy gone wild hair cut back to clean cut prepster styling. They graciously accomodated us with a mere 15 minute wait for Jonathan the stylist who specializes in boys’ cuts — he is simply awesome! I promptly made myself a massage appointment and was equally impressed with the masseuse. I have since had numerous massages from both massage therapists and their style, attitude, and approach is awesome. The owner is so gracious and friendly –the entire staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and appreciated.

I went in to get my eyebrows waxed because I work in the area. It was obvious, judging by the looks I got from the hair stylists, they’d never encountered a person of African American decent. (Or so it seemed) I felt very unwelcome. Were it not for the receptionist I would have turned around and walked right out. The salon was semi-fancy. The most exciting part was the downstairs area. It was very serene. My esthetician was nice but her work was mediocre at best. I expected a dynamic brow wax given the look and feel i
of the place. I wanted to leave with symmetrical eyebrows. Instead I had to come home and do some tweezing and filling of my own. I was disappointed. 16 bucks down the drain. I will continue to drive all the way to Lee’s Summit for a brow wax.

I have been getting my hair highlighted pretty much since birth and have gone to what feels like hundreds of different stylists. I’m extremely picky about the way that I like my blonde to look, I’m so happy to have found Lauren at Sopra! She really brightens up my hair in a way that I haven’t found someone to do in years, she is amazing with blondes (so hard to find)!!! I get so many compliments on my color and she gives an awesome cut too! Anyone who is looking for a great new stylist— you have found your girl, I know I have– thanks Lauren!

I was in dire need of a good haircut when I called Sopra Salon. I was also looking for something reasonably priced. I got lucky and got an appt the same day I called. Jessica cut my hair and I couldn’t be happier! She did a great job and was professional and efficient! I’d definitely recommend the salon! Oh, and the interior was great. It’s been remodeled and feels modern and classy.

I, like Lola, started coming here due to it’s convenience and proximity. But I keep coming back because they are A) efficient B) inexpensive and C) professional. I get my hair cut with Emily and she is easy to schedule with and does a great job. I also utilize the spa services (waxing) and have had at least 3 estheticians and have been pleased each time. The gentleman who works the front desk/phone is quite possibly the cutest/dearest thing I have ever met and always gives the most detailed compliments. I don’t even care if he is lying; it is the highlight of my day.

This salon is so close to my house. I keep going back because its so close to my house. However, I’ve never been able to find a stylist to keep coming back to. The interior seems a little dated, its not awful its just not as modernized as many other salons around the area. Pricing is great, location is great but I just can’t give it 5 stars. I think if they renovated the salon it would do wonders. I would love to find a talented stylist to keep coming back to!
