We were able to walk in and get a table. All of our food was outstanding. The Brussel sprout appetizer was incredible. I had the duck entrée which was the special. I am not sure I have ever had duck this good. I cannot say enough about the quality of the food and the great service.

This was the BEST breakfast/brunch I have ever had. I ordered the Cerdo con Mole. The intent was to share with my husband — The flavors of the black beans, eggs, polenta, salsa, avocado, pork and mole’ was outstanding. I shared this one time. I won’t again. Service was great, food divine, company perfect, and for dessert we tried the Birdman bread with cinnamon, chocolate, and walnuts. Perfect. Valentine’s Day: I ordered the same breakfast and it was the worst breakfast I’ve ever tried to eat. Go figure. There was no flavor and the eggs tasted like water. The latte was cold. No thanks. I won’t go back for breakfast.

We went here for Valentine’s Day dinner. We had made reservations about a week and a half in advance. We were a little iffy about the prices, but we figured we’d give it a shot anyways. Very glad that we did. The bruschetta special was amazing and the grass fed local beef was excellent. I loved the little roasted yukon potatoes. Everything was cooked perfectly. I enjoyed the environment of the restaurant. Our table was very comfortable and private. However, out server was slightly rude. She did not make us feel very welcomed and is probably our only compliant of the evening. Otherwise, everything was great and I would definitely recommend Scotty’s Table for a evening of celebration or just a spontaneous romantic evening.

Good food, and drinks. The interior atmosphere is pleasant. Another place I would go back to, and one of the top 4 in Missoula.

First, I want to say this place is wonderful. Great service, amazing food, and beautiful ambience. However, I’ve rated it at 2 stars for a pretty specific issue that truly offended my entire party. I(female) ordered a bottle of wine for the table. The server brought it out, opened it, and handed it very deliberately to the one male at the table to taste before pouring for everyone. He laughed and said he wasn’t having any wine and gestured to me as the person who should be the taster since I ordered it. The server,(who, btw, was wonderful and attentive) said«I know, I’m so sorry, I was trained specifically to hand the wine to the man at the table to taste, regardless of who orders it.» Ummmm… Cue awkward pause. Now, we have all ordered wine at nice restaurants around the country, and this was the first display of overt sexism anyone in the party had ever seen. A woman can order, taste, and even pay(gasp) for a bottle of wine without intervention or instruction from a man. Holy cow what year are these people living in? This definitely was an odd and offensive distraction from an otherwise perfect dinner, but I think it’s really important to point out. This is a great restaurant… Imagine how much better it would be by treating it’s female guests with the same respect as the men.

We had a very nice dinner here recently to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The patio seating is lovely, and it was great for enjoying the beautiful weather on a comfortable Sept. evening. The menu offers an eclectic mix of modern American dishes. For starters, we had a scallop dish, a lentil salad, and arancini(fried risotto balls). For entrees, I got the cioppino(seafood stew), which was excellent, and my companions got the pasta bolognese and the vegetable polenta. Everything was very good, although my friend who got the bolognese noted that, while the meat and sauce were very good and warm, the pasta underneath was cold in the center as if it had been sitting for a while and wasn’t properly warmed up for serving. For a top notch restaurant with prices that are not inexpensive, that sort of thing shouldn’t happen. Overall, though, it was a good meal. The wine list was notable in that it included a number of nice, reasonably-priced options in the $ 30-$ 40 range. Also, our server was excellent — friendly, attentive, and professional. I wish I remembered her name to give her proper credit. They also gave us some very nice chocolate truffles, gratis, at the end of the meal(with a birthday candle to acknowledge the special occasion).

Hidden gem in Downtown Missoula. When walking along the river be sure to make a pit stop for a glass of wine and delicious meal at Scotty’s table. Excellent choices for many dietary needs including vegan, vegetarian and gluten free. The menu rotates so your favorite from the previous visit may not be available, but I have always be pleasantly surprised with whatever delights are on the menu. I have had weekend brunch and dinner here and I was very pleased at both visits.

I really enjoy this place. It’s a little more expensive but it is worth it. The patio on the back is super cute & charming. The service has always been good. The inside is decorated beautifully. You just don’t find places like this. The food has Always been exceptional. They do have some odd things on the menu but they have never let me down.

What a great spot! Loved the patio very European feeling… right on the park so there was some music and other things going on. We ordered a beautiful white wine(La Spinetta Tuscan Vermentino) and ordered a Mediterranean plate which was absolutely amazing.(It’s listed as an entrée but seriously suited for a starter) The Mediterranean plate was hummus, olive tapenade, tzatziki sauce, some sort of arugula red onion salad, pita bread and other accompaniments. Our entrees were just as pleasing. We had the roasted chicken sandwich… my favorite. The turkey club… which was awesome too. Oh and when I say sandwich it isn’t a deli type these are gourmet! The last dish was a seasonal pasta which was a vegetarian bow tie type with a poblano sauce… it was fantastic. You could tell by the beets on the salad that the Chef focuses on using local fresh ingredients as the waitress had said. While the food is amazing… I did have to go in and ask if someone was going to come in and serve our table. In the end though she ended up being a good server and I wouldn’t hold that against them. A must go if you love food, good wine and great atmosphere!

This place was recommended to us when we mentioned we would be driving through Missoula. It wasn’t super easy to find but as soon as I asked a local she pointed us in the right direction. Patio seating was pleasant. French bread and salted herb butter was sensational. We started with the fried brussel sprouts, yep they were amazing. Plus that plate had so many good sauces on it that we kept it the entire meal and kept dipping things into it. I ordered the salmon linguine special. Stellar. And he ordered the burger medium with an egg. Excellent. I got up from the table and literally blurted out«so that is what food is supposed to taste like». We left doting on the food, our stuffed bellies, and the kind waitresses.

Came here with a large group of foodie friends with high expectations… and it ended up being one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. Took over 35 minutes to get a drink and close to 2 hours for our main course. When we asked the server if they were short handed she responded«not at all» and looked surprised, she was rough around the edges from the get go and her service only got worse. My husbands braised chicken tasted like it was boiled all day and had no seasoning… hard dish to screw up… and they didn’t even take it off our bill when we expressed our dissatisfaction. Many other plates at the table were sub par or just average for the price. The bolognese had no sauce and the lamb was not a favorite. While the location is great, I will not be recommending Scotty’s and hope they make changes in the future.

I am a foodie. There, I said it! And this place made my little foodie heart happy! I had the NY strip with the kale(OMG) and the fried risotto,(So, SO very good!) and two glasses of a luxurious French Bordeaux. Yes, it was spendy, but the food and the wonderful atmosphere was worth it! And my server was a doll! Right there when my steak was delivered, perfectly cooked medium rare, and right there when I asked for a second glass of wine. Cheerful, prompt and cute as a bug! Anyone who says the steak was chewy asked them to overlook it. Simply melt in your mouth delicious! You gotta try this place!

Scotty’s Table is a solid place to dine in Missoula. I will say I went in for dinner on a Saturday evening and the place was not busy at all, which is fine, but the service was pretty slow at the wrong times. For example, if I have to wait over 15 minutes to put in a drink order… I get a little anxious:) But this is pretty typical missoula waitstaff service from my memory. My dad ordered the New York strip steak medium and it looked cooked all the way through unfortunately. I guess you really just have to order it rare no matter what and hope for the best. My vegetable polenta was delish and my Moms halibut was perfectly prepared. Overall, Scotty’s is doing a lot of things right and I enjoy dining there when I am in town.

Great atmosphere, fantastic waitress, excellent menu. My only 2 comments on my main dinner(Meat duo) was that the short ribs were a tad dry and the sautéed kale needed messaging prior to cooking. This process would«soften» the leaves. Try it chef.

I really like Scotty’s Table… there is something for everyone and the dishes are well worth what you pay for. I have not been to dinner there for some time, but I have been there recently for brunch and lunch. First and foremost, the dishes were delicious, inventive, and well-prepared. The chefs use high-quality and local ingredients that make gorgeous plates. I like the location of the restaurant and it has a nice outside patio; the only drawback is during the week, a lot of trucks park right next to patio when delivering product, blocking the view of the park and creating an unpleasant smell of fuel. While the servers are nice, they are kind of slow so if you are coming in for lunch on a weekday, don’t expect to be served quickly. The food is great and I highly recommend this Missoula eatery.

This place has some great food and unique dishes. I really like that their meat and ingredients are locally sourced. I loved the butter that was served with the bread. It was salty and fresh, which went perfectly with the baguette. For an appetizer we had the Lamb Meatballs with fried cauliflower. They were good and I really liked the sauce that accompanied them. For entrees I had the Cassoulet and my husband had the Coq au Vin. Both were excellent. My duck confit was perfectly cooked, with crispy skin and succulent meat. I could have eaten a whole plate of that alone. My husband chicken was flavorful, tender, and very juicy. His potato mash was very yummy and buttery. We loved our dinner and would definitely return. The atmosphere was perfect and service was great.

For some reason, Scotty’s just hasn’t been the same since moving from their cozy little spot on Higgins. The food is locally sourced, service is pleasant, and the restaurant’s locale(in the basement of the historic Wilma Theater) certainly is chic… but it’s definitely just«ok» to me now. I was there a few months ago and, perhaps unfortunately for Scotty’s, came the day after our previous wünder meal at the ‘Bird. Hubs and I were in the mood for charcuterie to start the meal, and found all but the duck liver pâté to be a bit lackluster. We each had our own salad, and then shared the beef ragu pasta for our main. The portion of actual ragu was quite small, but the flavors were there. The size of the split main was sensible enough that we opted for some dessert, too. We had a couple of the small cookies(kudos to our wait person for negotiating that), but ended up being disappointed in the end because they were stale. Scotty’s used to be our Date Night spot, every Friday. But now I can’t say that I’ll rush to return until I hear they’ve got their groove back.
