I am searching for a new doctor. I’m fed up with the lack of customer service and follow up.

I’ve been on the hunt for a new physician for a while! My previous doctor was my Pediatrician and once I was too old to see him, there was a Nurse Practioner that was able to see adults up to the age of 25 (or 30? I can’t remember the age). Having that option was GREAT, since I’d been going there for ages, however after a while it’s just odd to be the only adult patient in a waiting room filled with babies and kiddos haha!
So I started hunting for a new doctor, but I didn’t end up liking the first place I went to. I also work at a Doctor’s office in Houston near the Medical Center and shadow at another one it that area, but I wanted someone close to home. Finally I found Dr. McMullen through the BCBS portal and saw good reviews on there, Unilocal,Google and on other websites that review medical providers.
I called and made an appointment that worked with my schedule. The staff was nice over the phone and in person and the paperwork didn’t take too long. Dr. McMullen was thorough, but fast and very kind and explained the whole process. I got a full Well-​Women Exam and Lab. BTW the lab lady was very efficient which is always a plus because she found a vein and was in and out before I knew it! Overall, everything took less than an hour (I see worse wait times at the places I’ve worked at) which was AWESOME!
Plus point: They have an online patient portal where you can view your lab results, make appointments and send messages.
I’m going to miss my stickers and lollipops, but I’m happy to have found a new doctor!

The absolute worst experience I have ever had. Stay away at all costs. The person who called me to read my test results had no idea what she was reading and she told me so. I have a extreme family history of breast cancer and she didn’t know how to read the result, then why call to tell me the results. I asked her or Dr to call me back. Of course nobody called back.
